Site Update

You may have noticed a wide variety of changes to the site's layout, including but not limited to: the removal of the random chapter section on the front page, the addition of a Pairings tab to doujinshi pages, a complete reformatting of directory pages at large, and probably a lot more.

While I understand that not all changes are positive for browsing, these are a cumulative beginning effort to improve site performance. Any and all feedback on the changes is welcome! Thanks.

Important Edit!

The tag suggestions feature has had a slight adjustment. Users may now insert notesregarding their suggestion for us to see. Any possibly helpful notes are welcome. The rarely used Series Description and Author Description tabs have been deprecated in favour of this - you may still use this section for any pertinent series or author notes! We'll implement and/or respond to them just the same as always.

Oof, those sure made it less convenient to browse the pairings. The obligatory addition of the pairings tab to dj's pages is great though. Looking forward to the rest of the improvements.

This isn't a combo of tags you see everyday. I really like the art, looks so very fluffy.

Depending on the speaker's accent, maybe? In the languages standard variant, I don't think so. As I understand, "a" in japanese sounds like "a" in italian, so more open and not as frontal as the one in english.

You're not wrong, but I think using Short hair would run into the same problem with Handsome lady: not all ladies with short hair would fit "masculine looking" and not all "masculine looking" ladies would necessarily qualify as handsome (although manga characters tend to look as idealized as they come). I'm also not sure all people who ask for Short hair are looking specifically for butch characters.
Funnily enough, we do have a tag that can get us more butch (x butch) characters: Not yaoi.

I'm not a fan of a Short Hair tag particularly (I feel like it'd make more sense as a image tag, instead of one that focus on the story), but it's an understandable addition if it's so requested. I think a good way of doing the specific split you mentioned would be to keep Tomboy for 'masculine activities' and create a new tag contemplating the characters' looks. Because 'masculine looks' feels incredibly bland to me, I'd normally suggest Handsome Lady or something similar, but I'm afraid that's not quite the right thing. I think an option could be to just call it Butch, but clarifying in the tag description its specific use on the reader.

Maybe we can just create a Butch tag? Which kind of content did you think about contemplating with the split, OP?

Probably an overestimation of how male-dominated mainstream culture is. Guy turns into a woman, it's like entering a secret world; woman turns into a guy, there's a perception it's nothing she won't know about. Meanwhile in reality land, women going undercover as men have had massive disabusements of their perceptions(even of something as simple as online dating).

It's not about "this dude", he's just conveniently there.

As for his behaviour, I'll fully agree his way of interacting with his student is inappropriate... But entering a romantic relationship with them is actually much worse, and it applies to literally all and any story with these tags, so I don't think he's particularly worse than the other generic teacher characters in these stories.

On the same topic, I'm not sure there're enough cases to justify this, but maybe we can use a Licensed tag or something so we can spot those more promptly?

I wonder if the reason Fumi left is because of these two pages. How Yayo doesn't need to think about her future, bc all she needs is Fumi-chan.
I don't really understand much else of Fumi-chan, there's a lot that's intentionally left out. All I know is that she wanted Yayo to try again, that she buried everything that represents herself and disappeared, which eventually got Yayo to work towards her dream again.
I can't help but feel super sad though, it's like Fumi gave up herself and music entirely, and passed it on to Yayo.
My last question would be, was all of this done for the sake of helping Yayo move forward, or did something happen and it was just how Fumi wished to say her goodbyes.

Not like we know much about Fumi, but I think it's more likely in line with what the bandmates thought, considering jouhatsu is not only something culturally relevant enough to have its own name, but also to have professionals who specialize in facilitating it.

Actually, there is a way to figure out, darling: you research. If it's that important, that is. It's not like english speakers pronounce correct japanese either and this was never an obstacle to their enjoyment of manga.
