... Am I the only one who preferred her old look?

Well, I agree that she wasn't really plain - in fact, even absolutely moe at times, it's just seems to be impossible to draw utterly plain/ugly girls in manga.

Now, it's not like I need this tsundere lemon bath powder, I don't need it at all, b-baka!!

I love your username and picture!!!

Well that happened. It had nice art but wasn't really my thing. Also I don't really think Homura's a masochist. She's definitely a passive person and would probably be willing to do nearly anything Madoka wanted her to but I don't see her actively wanting to do stuff like the first bit of this.

I could totally see her being interested in it. There are tons of people less "passive" than her who are subs/masochists in their privates lives. If anyone on the show is into BDSM at all (statistically pretty likely), I think it's her. Or maybe Madoka's mom, haha

As for me the concept of yuri (I usually consider it without distingushing shoujo-ai in different group because japanese people don`t use this term) combines every form of girls' love. Personally I distinguish 4 levels of it:
1. Very close friendship which in particular circumstances could be considered as transient stage between friendship and love.
2. Platonic love without sexual desire.
3. Physical form of love with sexual desire.
4. Highest form of love, which combining true pure feelings and sexual desire.
Well, I guess Madoka and Homura are on the 2nd level now, but they clearly can go up)

I would agree with that interpretation, at least during the first 12 episodes. It definitely seems like there's some love there but it never really manifests itself physically; not surprising considering how young and 'innocent' they are.

In Rebellion I'm not so sure though... Homura in particular takes on a much more "adult" form, like Madoka did at the end of the series, and her feelings appear to transcend that second level. The official art for rebellion is just oozing with sexual tension -- in fact, even near and after the end of the first 12 episodes, there was already some vaguely suggestive artwork featuring the two.

Some examples (the last 3 are Rebellion-specific) :

I think I actually find this a lot less depressing than the "I'll love you until my death" stories. They make it sound all poetic and romantic, but from Remilia's POV it's like falling in love with a one-night-stand or something... it's nice at the time but in a few thousand years it'll just be a faint, vaguely endearing memory, overshadowed by all of her other lovers and/or by the actual love of her life. Makes the whole thing seem a bit pointless!

Can't say I enjoyed the visuals, but I thought the story was kind of sweet (in a "happy BDSM relationship" kind of way). I'm just disappointed that they apparently didn't stay together :(

This story was kind of sweet, though as others have pointed out, somewhat ethically questionable. But the questionable bits are not very different from 'regular' pet ownership, so... shrug

What bothers me isn't her lack of attraction, which she can't help, but the way in which she interprets and rationalizes it. Nothing indicates that she's willing to put in any more effort to make the relationship work -- instead, I get the feeling that from now on, she'll only do the bare minimum to care for the girl. It seems like she jumps straight from "oh, the passion is lost" to "whelp, I guess I'll never love her again", which is unfair to the girl but also to herself.
There could still be hope, but sensei would have to pick herself up and not give up on their relationship so early.

"I hope some of the comments here about fixing their sex lives was ment as a joke"

Actually, it really could work. BDSM isn't only a sex thing, it's also emotional and can easily extend outside the bedroom. Sensei seemed to really like the girl's dominant side (the sock scene in particular felt very BDSM-y), and including some power play in their relationship could revive that sense of "thorniness" that she craves.

I had given up on ever seeing Mio and Perrine together... I'm happy that my wish came true in some way, haha (or should I say "hah hah hah"?)

I don't think it really matters whether it's done by a man or a woman. I suspect that the main reason people have a more negative reaction to an older male having an age gap relationship with a young or young-ish person as opposed to an older female is that men are generally perceived to be more aggressive, lustful, dominant, etc. But I think we should look at the specific context and not judge based on appearances.

For example, in many yuri age gap stories, the adult is a kind person who is genuinely in love with the younger girl, and she is often perfectly willing to go at the girl's pace since she doesn't want to force her into anything. Imagine a story with exactly the same kind of protagonist, but a male one. It wouldn't seem much worse, would it? He'd still be a gentle, sensitive person who doesn't want to take advantage of anyone, and waits until he can be sure that his feelings are genuinely reciprocated.

Now, on the other hand, you could have a female adult who is as pushy as we would normally assume a male one to be, and who totally manipulates and abuses the younger lover.

I thought this story was a bit too much on the pushy side, but overall I didn't dislike it. I think the intention was to make their love genuine, but it comes across as very rushed because of the lack of development.

I love this so much! Very sweet and representative of the characters' relationships. I just hope that last one will come true someday...

Cute ^__^
Recently I have spoken with one guy who was trying to convince me that there is no yuri in Madoka.
What a douchebag)

Homura flat-out stated that she loves Madoka! It even created a whole new kind of soul gem! How could that not be yuri?!

Nooooo!

Winning goldfish at fairs is really bad, the vast majority of people (especially kids who are attracted by those games) don't know how to take care of them properly. So they end up living in spaces 30 times too small for them (they're a member of the carp family and can grow to 10 inches or more) and then dying at like 1/50th of their life expectancy (goldfish are supposed to live a few decades, not months).

Other than that, cute doujin! I love the art.

Love this chapter.

I actually didn't have much trouble telling them apart, but I agree the art is pretty hard to read (I think the main problem is the arrangement of the panels).

Tyra (main girl) - Bare-headed
Spino (popular girl) - Long mouth, almost like a crocodile
Veloci (mascot) - Very small
Allo (ojou-sama) - Spikes on head unlike Tyra, and also wears a flower pot
Love interest - Duh

The only confusion for me was when Tyra was at home, but they usually refer to each other by name at those points so you get an idea of who's who.

I'm also not sure whether to find this story heartwarming or horrifying...

However I look at it, for me, Keiko isn't a lesbian. She's attached to Ran but to see her as a lover would be a shift in her character. There's been zero romance in Stretch as of now.

I don't know how Shou plans to add romance, after 4 whole volumes without anything ressembling it. Except if he's in for a longer run of 10+ volumes. And even then, there's less and less stretching.

Eh, I don't know, it's pretty ambiguous.

With scenes like this one and the one where Keiko said that she might not look for a boyfriend for a while because she's happy staying with Ran, it's not obvious that they're simply friends :
http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/stretch_ch29#7

Could it be very, very close friendship? Possibly. But it could also be more than that.
I think there have indeed been hints of romance so far, if you interpret it that way (and I'm not talking about "yuri goggles" interpretations based purely on wishful thinking, but reasonable interpretations like understanding "yeah yeah, you're my special person too" while blushing to mean "I also see you as more than just a friend").

"Fleur", "Elle"...
Seems like this author took a page out of Shiroi Heya no Futari's book by giving characters names that are just random French nouns. x)

For the record I also thought the bride was being pretty insensitive towards both the husband and the bridesmaid. Oppressive culture or not, the least you can do for the people you supposedly love so much is to communicate with them, and not go behind their backs / conceal your intentions and feelings / cheat on them...

I enjoyed this series even though I'm generally not fond of needlessly depressing endings, but I really have to point out just how ridiculous the protagonist's name is :

"Résine de poisson" is literally "Fish resin" in French.
