Sumin is hard to approach, I think the fact that Sumin's life was dominated by Seju's presence is not because Seju is controlling or anything but because Sumin doesn't see the point of letting anyone else in on her life. You see this in future chapters, e.g. the most recent one.

The fact that Seju knows details about Sumin's life is not because she's controlling or stalkerish but rather because Sumin tells her. For example in chapter 14 or 15, she tells Seju that she broke up with someone that she'd thought was 'the one'. From my understanding, I think Sumin is the one that keeps on coming back to Seju and not the other way around.

Case in point, the 'why are you here?' comment in chapter 14? 15? shows Sumin's surprise at the fact that Seju is still in her life despite everything. She wonders why she keeps on coming back despite many attempts to not do so. Also I think it's likely that they have the keys to each other's appartment. For example chapter 11. It's just convenient for hook-up purposes I'm assuming, I didn't see it as creepy or anything at all

Also as I've mentioned in the post above yours, the point about Seju maintaining the status-quo in her relationship with Sumin is probably because Sumin doesn't let her in. She keeps Seju at arm's length. She won't let her in emotionally as seen when she denied having interest in Sungji. She also refuses to cut Seju completely out of her life as seen by how this status-quo has remained for about 10 years.

I don't blame Seju for not wanting to cut Sumin out of her life. But you're probably right in saying that their relationship is not entirely healthy at this point because they're both using each other as emotional clutches and there's a lot of guilt and anger that's unresolved.

Maybe Sungji will act as a catalyst for Seju/Sumin to overcome this aspect of their relationship. Perhaps Sungji might be the last straw that Seju/Sumin out of the vicious circle that they're in.

Meru I think the roadblock to Seju/Sumin is not actually Sumin herself. Specifically her refusal to open up and forgive the events of chapter 11. In fact, it's highly likely that they didn't talk about it at all and just swept it under the rug in my opinion.

I think if Sumin opened up and allowed Seju to be her support like before then they would work. But you are correct in saying that they are stuck in a limbo as of this point. There's nothing to be gained for both of them right now other than sex.

I think Sungji represents the possibility of a fresh start for sure whereas Seju represents stability. Perhaps Sungji is what's needed for Seju/Sumin to re-evaluate their relationship with each other and whether it's worth keeping. What I really like about Seju is that her motives are unclear. You get the impression that she wouldn't mind getting her hands a bit dirty.

What is Seju's motive in pushing Sumin and Sungji together? Why has she also expressed interest in Sungji? As I see it, there are two possibilities. One is that she is pushing Sungji/Sumin together out of the goodness of her heart. She wants Sumin to be happy, even if it's not with her. I kinda doubt this though from various little hints but I could be wrong.

The second possibility is that Seju is pushing Sungji/Sumin together so that they break and Sumin will return to her again. Perhaps Sumin will be so devastated by messing things up with Sungji that she will never stray from Seju again. This is the vibe I'm getting from Seju. I don't blame her for it though, she's very invested in Sumin. Even pushing it towards yandere levels even.

Either way Seju fascinates me. I want to see her relationship with Sumin untangled. At this point, it's hard to say whether Sumin will end up with Seju or with Sungji. I honestly don't mind if she ends up with Sungji but obviously my preference is Seju. Either way, someone is probably going to get hurt along the line. It'll be an interesting ride.

I too am on team Seju, I like her as a character. I think she has more to offer Sumin then Sungji ever will, even when certain plot details are revealed in later chapters.

First of all, they've been together since high-school. It's also strongly implied that Sumin got promoted/got to where she is now with a bit of help from Seju. She also genuinely cares about Sumin and if you've read the chapters, you get the vibe that Seju cares about Sumin a lot more. Sumin acts cold and disinterested and is even cruel towards Seju. I think it's Sumin that's using Seju as a sexual outlet rather than the other way around. Yet Seju still stays and has done so for more than 10 years. That says something.

I have nothing against Sungji, she's cute, nice innocent. I even called her a beautiful cinnamon roll and all but she doesn't hold a candle to Seju's devotion in my opinion. I don't think what Seju has already offered and what she will be willing to offer is worth throwing away even if there are a few unfortunate mistakes.

on the topic of chapter 11 and the cheating, I said something before and I firmly stand by it. I think people treat cheaters even worse than criminals these days. At least for criminals people still believe in rehabilitation. Cheaters aren't even afforded that. 'Once a cheat, always a cheater', a rather cruel and unforgiving mindset. Yes Seju made a mistake but it seems like a one-off thing unlike Sumin who has had multiple relationships.

I'm not saying you should always forgive cheaters but still, we don't know the full circumstances behind it so it's too soon to pass judgement. In addition to that, from what we've seen so far, Sumin was emotionally (and most likely but less importantly) and physically unavailable for over a month.

She also threw away their plans that must've taken quite a while to plan out. She also seemed to be throwing their relationship into the bin with the whole ring affair. Arguably both sides overreacted a little but the point still stands

That coupled with the enormous guilt Seju must've felt because Sumin's parents' death was indirectly caused by her. Add some alcohol and angst to the mix and can you really not sympathise? I guess some people won't because "het-shit" or whatever but still, I hope Seju and Sumin can still work things out unless there's a much more heinous backstory behind the cheating that convinces me to switch completely to Team Sungji

The question has already been answered before. It's caused by incompatible raw and overlay files. The user was trying to access overlays which are 1024px wide on raw files which are 720px wide.

It's because the raw and overlay files are incompatible. You have to unlock the HD version of the chapter for them to work. If you're interested, go back a few pages.

Someone bought the chapter and took a screenshot so that the chinese anon can translate it. Last week, the Chinese websites provided higher quality raws and someone translated from Chinese=>English as they've been doing for the past weeks.

Halmoni and I discussed this and obviously the quality of the translation is pretty bad because they're translating from Korean=>Chinese=>English. Seems like the Chinese people haven't released the raws for chapter 17 yet maybe because Lezhin is cracking down on that new site.

Lezhin previously cracked down on another chinese site called tieba.baidu.com which caused them to no longer release korean raws as well as all the Chinese scanlations. But another Chinese site has sprung up or rehosted the stuff that was released on tieba, i'm not sure.

As you can see, the raws are not really Korean raws but the scanlated Chinese ones. The rough translations are done using the chinese translations and then typesetted. Anyway, it's 4chan and the Chinese and if someone wants to spend their money to buy chapters and then post it online for free for the ingrates of /u/ then that's their business. I don't plan on getting involved and I don't think halmoni will either.

I hope these sites are going to eventually branch out into international languages. I'm not sure how they would handle getting all languages available but I'm seriously all for buying the series I love. This seems like a good step-forward to that goal. I appreciate your hard work!

i was also thinking that it would be good if they just improved accessibility. e.g. making paying easier by just charging directly to your credit card instead of having to buy coins on a smartphone, etc etc... perhaps lezhin just doesn't think the international fanbase will provide any substantial benefit so maybe that's why they haven't invested any effort into it. oh and thanks for supporting the author of course.

Copy pasta from the official oddsquad thread. Obviously replace "naver" with "lezhin" for step 9 but the rest should still be the same

1°) click on the menu button of your phone while using google chrome app.
2°) click on the star top-right on the Chrome menu that appeared following step 1, so you make a bookmark out of the current website
3°) On the same menu, click on "favorites", which will give you the list of bookmarks and allow you to edit them
4°) click on the bookmark you whish to edit (the one made in step 2), and maintain pressure so instead of opening the bookmark, a menu appears.
5°) Select "edit bookmark" in the menu appeared at step 4.
6°) Give it a name starting with a dot "." then a recognizable name. for instance ".overtooning" (without the quotes).
7°) in the URL input, fill with GREAT application the following FULL CODE

In the olden ways (when Casusby still whipped everyone), i think we had a reputation for being silghtly 'snobbish' e.g. (refusing to put some stuff on the reader), just generally not giving a shit.

For people who are having trouble accessing the overlays, there are two things you need to check.

1. Check if we've actually translated the chapter.
- You can easily tell because translated chapters (which is only 1 for now) will have chapter titles in English, like so

2. Check that you're viewing the HD version of the raws
The HD box will be red like so.

Note that if you hover your mouse over the button when it's greyed out, it'll turn red but it doesn't mean you've paid. However, if you've actually paid for it, it'll always be red even if you don't hover your mouse over it

The reason we're overlaying is because of a copyright warning. Also because they have their eyes on us so by overlaying, we're not redistributing the comic anywhere else.

Like halmoni said, we're not here to tell you what how to spend your money. That being said, I can understand your concern if it takes $3-4 to buy a single chapter but come on...7 chapters for a few quid? It's not a fortune and you can just stop paying if it's not to your tastes. In case you're wondering, the comic won't turn het or something like that if that's what you're concerned about.

We don't receive any money from this, so if you're going to say things like the business model is "baiting" people, then you might as well keep it to yourself because there's nothing anyone can do about it. We know there will at least one person (I hope?) who will be willing pay to see it legally and that's why we're doing it.

It's already up. If you follow the instructions (listed on the credits page) and sign up, you should see the high-res version of the Chapter 1. We haven't overlaid some content on the page e.g. words from the editor on the right hand side and things like that but it should be available soon. Effectively, it's like having an English version of the site. I recommend the add-on method for easy browsing so that you don't have to click on the bookmark all the time, but that's personal preference

We'll post a notice probably here and on tumblr once Chapter 2 is released.
