Not sure it could be called a rape.

Well your opinion is irrelevant. People will tell you it was statutory rape and that is all that matters. You can't have adult having sex with someone below 18 without them raping them in the process. Welcome to real world.

Strictly speaking the actual age limit varies by legislation and often has all manner of caveats tacked on, and primarily stems from the point that legally juveniles are not considered capable of giving their informed consent.

Aww... The Antinoids are corrupted with Mankind's daily life and technology... They forgot about their real missions to destroy mankind... XD

If I were to hazard a guess the Generals for the most part were never all that committed to the whole conquest bit to begin with. Melt seems like she's all about for SCIENCE!!!, Kyouka scans as one of those "just want a good fight" types (before she flunked Don't Become An Otaku, Suigetsu-san! right out of the gate anyway), Honey sounds like she was in it mostly for the paycheck, and while we know essentially nothing of #4 as of yet I wouldn't be surprised at all if they have little time for X-sama's nonsense and prefer to sit around reading all day or somesuch given what the rest of the outfit's been like...

Evil GFs vs Good (and turned good) GFs! Fight!
I get the feeling X meant to build an evil general harem and conquer planets with cute girls in them. So far, the first part has failed miserably, and it's up to Rapid Rabbit and Honey Trap to stop this obnoxious overlord wannabe's plans for good!

As a rule of thumb I tend to root for the underdog... so I guess now I need to support X-sama and her clumsy world conquest.

She certainly needs all the help she can get.

Melt probably grows them out of kelp or something anyway. o3o

Everyone is so.....Gay.

TBF evidence so far suggests the Antinoids are a monogender species anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The leader X, Honey, Melt and Kyouka are definitely girls, as well as the Meta-warriors.
I'm not sure, however, about the 4th general and the Kaijin... they seem to have the body lines of men.

See "evidence so far". Number Four is a total question mark for now (exactly all we know of them is a partial silhouette and Honey thinking them not terribly relevant) and given they're disposable artificial Elite Mooks the Kaijin don't necessarily have much in common with the "true" Antinoids to begin with.

They get paid :p

Where do they even get the money for that though?

Offscreen Dark Matter as usual with such operations, one imagines. Not like we know squat about the Antinoid homeworld anyway; for all we know X is their equivalent of some rich idiot who's bankrolling the whole thing off her trust funds and whatnots for le shitz und gigglez... :P

I mean I don't particularly care personally, just thought I'd point that out since audience expectations came up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Plus, doing so is a deliberate act. You make the choice to read something that's uncomfortable and can brace yourself beforehand (which is kind of the point behind content warnings). Stumbling across it while reading a comedy of all things is a different sort of thing, don't you agree?

Sure, but I'm not sure how that is relevant to the topic anymore? Also it's y'all Almighty Moderators (all hail) who are the Lords of the Tags aren't you? :v

Speaking of, the argument could be made that the whole toilet scene is worth Foiled rape attempt - that it was foiled by the perp suffering a sudden attack of conscience and bailing, rather than outside intervention, doesn't really change the essentials of the scenario right...?

^ For a very relative value of "new" - she (as well as Yuri, Emoji etc. and IIRC Asuka made first appearance too) got introduced during the Kyoto trip like around half the current chapter count ago...

Kinda reminds me of that one TL note in Excel Saga where they muse they really should stop thinking about Elgala as "the new girl" when she'd been part of the cast for about 2/3 of the series at that point. :P

So it's sort of the literary equivalent of [confused boner]? :v

I read this yesterday and I was trying to find a way to describe my feelings, but this comment of yours basically sums it up. Thanks random.

You're welcome, Christmas is the season of giving after all~ :p

One of the lessons that my second African American Literature teacher drilled into our heads was the importance of reading things that make us uncomfortable. If we shield ourselves from everything that causes us the slightest amount of negative emotions, then we won't know how to deal with those emotions in any real-world circumstance. You can't make your bad feelings go away by avoiding them, because they'll just grow and grow, and when they do come out, it'll be much worse.

Sure, I don't have a problem with the :concerning: content an sich. (I mean I quite liked White Angels as a study of some terribly fucked up people, too.) But it bugs me how some posters seem hellbent on pretending it doesn't exist. :/

Even aside from the sex hook, this is a pretty interesting story. It's kind of a jumble of various cliches, but the characters really sell it.

Almost in spite of itself, this manga is good. The art and story are undeniably fun, especially the dancing scenes.

Oh my god are y'all serious? Are you for real right now? I finish reading a wholesome, sweet, light-hearted love story and go to the comments to see other positive comments about it but some of you guys are flipping out and yelling RAPE??? i mean honestly, can you not enjoy something without thinking these things? Just... quiet down and be happy, jesus.

It's kind of text y'know. (See also: the younger sister's immediate alarm upon learning of the relationship.) Takes active effort - or serious blinkers - to not be uncomfortable with that bit.

Also, if Kuro couldn't eat chocolate due to being originally a cat, Kuuko couldn't either since chocolate is poisonous to foxes.

...then again she wasn't exactly a normal fox.

I'm going to shoot myself Jesus Christ where tf is the "Denser than a diamond" tag?

Diamond is hard, not particularly dense. These two are getting pretty close to degenerate matter tho.
