That makes me incredibly happy and hopeful if true because I like Sayaka. Where did you read this? That said, Sayaka can still have an optimistic if not happy ending in this series as well. I don't think happiness needs to be defined by her having a romantic partner.

It's not about having a partner and more about how she inevtiably will get her heart broken. Even if she shrugs it off, she lost something she really wished for. At best it's a bittersweet ending. If Sayaka found a girlfriend after this that would conclude her arc (of being a lesbian that can never get together with anyone due to various reasons, despite genuinly loving them) and make her move on for good, which to me, is a much happier ending.

Kobayashi's Dragon Maid/Kobayashi-san no chi Maid Dragon:
Basically, watch the anime first, then read the manga. It's not focused on romance, but it's very obviously yuri. And incredibly hilarious with some feel good moments.

Sakura Trick:
It's mostly comedy, but the main characters are the gayest dorks. Very slow on the realization that kissing = romance part, but it's getting there.

Kase-san and it's sequel Yamada to Kase-san:
Basically the sweetest thing you ever read in your life.

A kiss and a white lily for her/Ano Ko ni Kiss to Shirayuri wo:
Drama! Yuri! Happiness! Way too many side-pairings! Love it!

That should be a good starter pack.

I saw nothing but the obvious joke: raws end with Sayaka crossing a street + Touko’s trauma starts with her sister dying in vehicular accident = people in this story better watch it crossing the street!

I believe somebody made the same joke when Yuu ran off after confessing to Touko—it’s only funny because that’s so totally not how this story rolls.

To be fair, that's so dumb and out of nowhere it would actually be funny. For at least 10 seconds before the crushing depression destroyed our innocent minds.

As for the next chapter... I have to make this comment. I can no longer wait... regarding the last page, a dark cloud came over me and I said to myself, "Oh Sayaka, look both ways before crossing.." Then I had a morbid thought of a bus running a red light and hitting Sayaka just like in Final Destination, but in this one you see the bus driver is an oblivious Touko... Can't help where my mind goes

I love how every episode so far has had produced laughs out of moments that didn't make any particular impression on me in the manga. This time it was the moment Yuu catches Touko staring at her.

I laughed out loud during that scene haha

^I think at least half the common monsters everybody knows came from my country or at least the general region.
But if you wanna look up "unique" monsters, best look for Slavic/Polish folklore. The Witcher games proved that they got some strange ass creatures there.

Anyway, I liked that they used a different kind of animation in episode 5. Made the expressions that much funnier. =3 It also made Yuu's deadpan…ness? stand out more I feel.

And Touko's reaction to the photo is as adorable as ever.

Yeah I noticed the faces weren't as rigid and shifted more around. Much more expressive!

I'm so glad they included that bonus chapter. Sadly they didn't show Rei's knowing grin before she send it lol
