Since nobody else has linked it, here's the novelupdates page:
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/story-about-buying-my-classmate-once-a-week/Read Amawashi group until 61 which is their latest chapter. It's a solid human TL.
After that you have the option of jumping over to Story Seedling, but it's barely edited MTL.So glad this has gotten a manga and a translator picked it up. It's been possibly my favorite yuri for quite awhile now.
Is there a way to explain what's so appealing about it without spoiling?

Anyone know any stories, series or oneshot, that has heavy drama but ends on a good note?
Similar to run away with me, girl.
Two of my top 10:
- Even Though We're Adults (might be the most familiar to Run Away with Me Girl but is very real and fantastic). The official release is up to volume 8 of 10. There's 50 chapters, so only 10 left for the official translation.
- A Joyful Life (the title might as well be a joke but it's a lovely, meaningful, slow burn story and ends how you'd want it to. Really cool experience with humor sprinkled around but deals with some heavy, realistic stuff.)
A couple more (there's more if you want):
- The Glass
- Club Amour
- Would you, Could you?
- Ohana Holoholo
- Goodbye My Rose Garden
- Us Right Now (Webtoon)
- Opium
- Octave
- What Does the Fox Say?
- Let me give love to you, I will give a flower to you (and the sequel: The Appeal of Marriage)
- I Want to Quit Being a Hitman

This is so sweet and sweeter knowing the background.
I've followed this on Webtoon. Super fun. Cool seeing it here!

Wait, vol. 4 just first half of 2025??
Sounds right. The volume would be done by then and the physical would release after. I'm pretty sure that's just an ad for the next complete volume release. We'd still get individual chapters before then.

Surprisingly wholesome for this manga. Sure there were some "I hate you's" in there and Komaki telling Wakaba to strip, but that's mild as far as the toxicity goes in this manga.
Probably just forgot but it stuck out to me how Wakaba always refers to her as "Komaki" in her thoughts despite stubbornly refusing to call her by given name. That feeble resistance is adorably petulant.
Not enough resistance to prevent a Wakaba initiated kiss this time though lol. "I hate you" translates to "I love you but hate that I do." We'll get over that. If there was still some lingering doubt about how much Wakaba loves Komaki, I think this chapter would clear that up. She'll accept "losing," eventually; or she'll recognize she's already "lost." Of course they'll have to work through their issues in the process.

I don't get the ambulance part
The joke is: when they have impassioned sex, otherworldly things happen as they freely use their eye and left hand. During volume 8 they go "mad" while having sex and eventually end up crossing into the otherside for a bit without realizing it. They even start speaking in tongues, if I remember correctly. So something must have happened this time that affected people nearby. Their sex is wild and makes people wild, essentially.

Takeda Ayano anime adaptation
Author of Hibike Euphonium
I know I have plenty of company in the many yuri fans who were traumatized by the Euphonium yuri bait. Couldn't continue that series after a male background character came out of basically nowhere to pair with the MC.
I'll have to 100% know whether there'll be yuri or not with this new anime before I can consider watching this one. "Fool me once, shame on me..." and all that.
I don't think it's labeled yuri anywhere. It doesn't seem like it is, based on what I've seen of that manga on Mangadex.

Cool, a good extension to volume 8 minus the otherworldly (othersidely?) sex but I don't know how you'd show that properly lol. Even referred to them as "Nue." Really appreciate these two and glad they figured their love for each other out. Still wondering where volume 9 goes from there though.

Speaking of series with romance as a sub-genre, I just recently found Muted, has anyone read that series on Webtoon? It was very popular but I hadn't heard it mentioned much. Such a good story. It has a form of relationship people seem to clamor for here a lot (without spoiling) and a really nice depiction of it too.
I thought I recognised the title but couldn't remember, but as soon as I clicked it I remembered.
Tbh, I've read GL Webtoons I've enjoyed more than that one, too. There are so many good ones.
Atm, The Greenhouse is stellar.
Mage & Demon Queen was probably my favourite comedy-wise. (finished)
Nevermore (also ongoing) has amazing art and a great story.
Everyday by Day is a great episodic SoL cute series with a range of characters.
Nevermore and The Greenhouse (I'm on her Patreon)! Those are great too and wonderful examples of plot focused stories with great GL romance. I think Muted on par with those and since you've read it you'll know what I mean when I say it offers a unique and underrepresented relationship dynamic when compared to those other two? That's part of why it gets some extra recommendations from me now.

Tbh, that's why I really wish there was more other genre manga/anime that just happens to feature girls dating girls so that some of the pressure is taken off the yuri tag but alas we're still a bit far from that point.
I think as long as we continue getting more yuri that isn't strictly of the romance genre, the audience will eventually disassociate the two more. I see it as a sign of progress and normalizing.

Man, and people think citrus has slowed down. The special edition of volume 6 is having a second run because of how fast it sold outAnd it sold out the same day it went for preorder, no less
People think it's slowed down? I know people tend to assume things they don't like aren't doing well. I just want the next chapter!
Slow down in terms of actual chapters we get those last months, not in term of popularity. Context is important
Well I'm only responding to the other comment which was discussing popularity. That was the context of the discussion--talking about sales etc. I do remember some on here who were recently wondering if the series did fall off in sales and popularity though. So it's not as though it hasn't been discussed here recently anyway.
for allusions. Please be patient because my native language is not English and it is difficult for me to express myself. At no point did I say that the anger of Yurihime magazine was due to low sales, I simply echoed a previous comment and the data is there, announcements of chapters that did not come out, chapters that came out unfinished, and breaks in the work without No explanation. Regarding "popularity" I am referring to the little activity in forums like this one (dynasty), Twitter, Facebook, and even YouTube, comparing it to the great activity that there was when citrus+ started, and that is undeniable. I love citrus with all my heart but that doesn't mean that if I don't like the way the story is being handled, I say so (and there are not a few of us), always respecting the opinion the opinion of people who find citrus+ wonderful at the moment . He concluded, truly happy, that the special edition of vol 6 has been sold out, and I hope that 2 and 3 are sold out, but that doesn't mean anything, nor is it what I was referring to, I will be one of the first to When vol 6 comes out in my country, go run and buy it.
Your English is fine. No worries there. Here's hoping we don't have the same wait until next chapter.
On a serious note, it's interesting that both women are worried about being unworthy of the other and both women are simultaneously working to improve themselves for each other. They both fear they'll be unable to protect the other well enough (although Hinata's fear is that she'll subject Naori to more danger and injury). It's cute.
Seconding this, because everyone right now is just way too disappointed at the progress. Hinata knows what she wants. It looks like she knows how to get it. I don't know if Naori may have to grow herself and realise what she wants before there's a natural point where these two come together.
I think this was the most natural and un-contrived backing off I've ever seen in a romance.
Sometimes it feels like there's a little bit of resentment or dissatisfaction when a yuri story focuses on other things than just the romance. But I agree with you. I've loved their progress and the world around them creates a lot of valid reasons for why they'd both feel inadequate and unsafe to form or think about relationships at the moment.
Really really hope the next arc isn't some overly flirty love rival to push Hinata to action.
The story has avoided tropes like that, so I wouldn't worry too much. There's a lot of in-universe plot points beginning to converge and I expect those will continue to be the plot's focus but also strain and progress their relationship. Hinata's becoming Shuten-Doji, Naori's role as the bartender, Hinata's brothers machinations, and now the oni-hunters role. There's a lot in those to test Hinata and Naori's relationship and continue moving it along.

Cool story bruh
That's funny.
You literally kissed her in chapter one, granted you were drunk, but come on lol
She's still bold. She's just scared she won't be able to protect Naori if Naori becomes the SO of the Shuten Doji. Naori's injury is a reminder of that. As a result, she wants more power and/or stable circumstances before she "makes the reservation." In chapter one she wasn't this close to Naori and wasn't thinking of their future.

Naori better watch out because Hinata plans on "reserving the hell" out of her when she gets the confidence and that sounds like a looong night.

Also, I always assumed Tsukasa was Aju's bartender (and likely more than that). Can't forget that he was introduced sitting in front of an Aju poster and that Aju only asked for Naori's help because she missed her bartender. Now we'll get to see how that goes.

Impassioned servitude. Ha! I just don't get what that nun brings. There was no need for more comic relief.
She creates opportunities for Claire to showcase her newfound love for and cute jealousy over Rae, while very clearly not being a threat to Claire and Rae's relationship (since Rae has negative interest in anyone besides Claire). So there's no potential drama there. It's a little harmless "fun." Then she has other relationships with characters and uses that'll come up eventually.
Exactly, she just serves to make Claire jealous and possessive. I’m not one for love triangles, but in this position, where the person being pursued is firm in their feelings, and the other person is a tsundere, I’m completely fine with it. Claire having competition means that she can’t just push Rae away
I wouldn't even call it a love triangle, as Lily is clearly just a third party panting at the window lol. And that's what makes it work (and what the author does well). She's never allowed to seem like a threat, so her antics just become completely harmless jokes that serve to accentuate Claire's comedic potential more and also to reinforce how untouchable Rae's love for Claire is. I think that's why Lily is liked so much, when others in this position tend to be disliked a bit--the audience knows she's not even shaking the boat, let alone rocking it. If anything people seem to pity Lily, which is also key for her character.

I actually find this story refreshing in a lot of ways. I'm so used to seeing "prince" type characters who feel burdened by their persona or create a faux masculinity out of social obligation that it's really nice to see a "prince" character who genuinely feels comfortable and happy with her own masculinity. She actually feels butch, even if it's a butch identity filtered through the prince archetype lol.
I also really liked how they dealt with the whole rival/touchiness situation. The typical manga solution to this is usually framed as though it's Haruka's fault for not being assertive enough and the solution is she acts more assertive, but here not only does Rena deal with the issue herself, but Haruka's percieved passiveness is actually because she respects Rena's boundaries. Both of these little twists serve to give Rena a lot more agency that I've come to expect from this type of shoujo love triangle maiden role, and in framing the "solution" to the issue to be that Haruka should just ask before touching her, it resolves the jealousy and insecurity that Haruka was feeling while also reiterating Rena's agency. Her feelings of "I don't always wanna be touched by people" is maintained as a legitimate boundary she set up, which is exceedingly rare for romance manga to this day.
I could write more but I'm curious what other people thought. I think the story has more depth than some are giving it credit for.
Lovely. I agree with the subtle (or not-so-subtle) quirks within their dynamics. They took a common premise and added some (thoughtful) dynamic changes to the relationship, making it fun and helping it stand out. I thought they executed that well.

What's your go-to story for when you're feeling down? My pet passed while I was driving her to the hospital this morning, and I could really use something fun and wholesome right now.
Sorry for your loss.
A few comfort manga, etc:
- Hana Ni Arashi
- Bittersweet Con Panna
- Cheerful Amnesia
- My Food Looks Very Cute Today
- Tadokoro-san
- The Two of Them Are Pretty Much Like This
If you read Webtoons:
Lots more, but hope any of these help!

Kozakura to Sorawo: I wish I could be your anchor to this side.
This is basically a love confession and Sorawo has zero reaction to it lol
I didn't read that as a romantic confession necessarily. I thought it was more in a motherly(?) sense. Besides, I thought it referred to both her and Toriko. To me it read as: I wish I could be the one you both would want to return to, but I know you are that person to one another, so you need something else to to keep you in this world.
Yeah, I saw it the same. In that same conversation she was talking about how focused both Sorawo and Toriko are to the otherside and how necessary it is for them both to find and maintain a connection to the real world. I don't know about motherly, but definitely friendly, since she's close to both of them. A really nice gesture. It's also a reasonable worry considering how reckless and driven Sorawo and Toriko can be.

It's so sad, I think this tweet does confirm it's ending at episode 15. https://x.com/2HuCl1GPrZm9s3I/status/1795029051318407453
But the author said it wasn't meant to be long so maybe it really is the natural end they planned?
Well they also said this is the story they wanted to tell since the oneshot and they're happy they got to reach its conclusion. No reason not to believe them.

Isn't the title more about her own beginnings? Do we think she's going viral from this? I didn't really get that from the chapter, though I see where everyone else is coming from.
It can be both. I think it was double entendre.
Yeah, we discussed both possibilities in my other comment. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes for a bit.
Well, the plot development was “predictable” because the purpose of the previous chapter was to set it up. Three chapters ago no one was saying, “I’ll bet pretty soon a clip of Koga playing music in the park will go viral.”
Agreed. Instead of “predictable,” we say it “follows reasonable logic.”
