Huh... Also this (12) chapter reminded me, didn't Michi have like a pentagram or some kind of symbol on her neck? Or was that a different manga? I remember her leaving the school and we saw some kind of occultic symbol on her neck. Was that used in some way already and I'm just a dumdum for not remembering it right?

Riko turning creepy wasn't in my predictions. I really thought she'd be some kind of anchor of sanity in this. But I guess we don't need that. We're just diving down this rabbit hole full speed ahead.

I'm glad people are still trying to dissect the premise behind this "plot". I hope that before the last chapter, I'll be able to understand the plot and if it's realistic enough for my taste.

The last two chapters really annoyed me. Last one because it really is a dumb way to squeeze in extra content into your story. And I know WHY it's done, I just disagree with it. I hate it. The story so far was nice with both of them growing closer and I'm not sure WHY we needed to go into a more stereotypical "But things will change" course. And I'm not saying this doesn't deserve some drama. There was some drama before and it fit in with the "unique" aspects of this story and didn't have to use your more "standardized" drama tropes

Second, that little comment in this (29) chapter with the domestic violence. Like I REALLY hope we're not going there. As stupid as the slap was or as idiotic as that kiss out of nowhere was, it really shouldn't be taken in the context of domestic violence of any kind.

Outside of that, this is a nothingburger that serves as a calm before the storm. And I really hope this isn't this author's way of having another meh ending to their manga.

I just hope that Takamine doesn't turn out to be another Adachi and she'll find something worth pursuing in her life outside of one girl. I do enjoy the story of self-growth, but there's always a small chance it'll conclude with none.

Yea... Me and my friend tried to watch the second season but we tapped out at around the second or third episode. It was just such a clusterfuck. The first season wasn't anything grand, but it had a decent pacing and some cool action. And those two lovely ladies in the picture went on a date, got engaged, and adopted 2 furbabies (I know one is a tortoise) in like a span of two episodes which was great. But the second season? Hard pass.

Unless I misremember the show, Takina was more of a "Show don't tell" type of gal. So that one part there should have been a kiss.

I love this manga.

So Moe calls her cute, then comments about her being like a mom, and then goes about wanting to see her in a nurse outfit. Mermaids sure have weird kinks.

If they don't get together after this beach trip where literally everyone around them is helping them then we're done. No amount of cosmic power will break this level of uselessness.

This chapter was delightful. Although I do hope we can get to see those two celebrate the missed birthday.

As for Uda side stuff, I can guarantee that people would see this whole ordeal (and characters involved) differently if we didn't see it from various perspectives. Unless, of course, you don't care about the side thing at all. Which is understandable in its own right.
I wouldn't call it pointless either. Pointless drama to me is when a situation can be easily solved by, for example, communication. Something that older manga's had quite a lot. This is just a stalemate that can be resolved in time. By Prez graduating which I assume will happen soon in the manga. So we might either get a Prez perspective on the whole thing or a conclusion... Either that or just move to the next step if Riri won't move on and starts stalking the (then) ex-Prez. For now, we just have a bunch of frustrated teenagers. Each for a different reason.

This is legit one of the few if not the only manga that treats itself seriously and isn't a comedy where head pats would solve an ongoing "drama" inside its own plot. And that makes this the saddest and funniest thing.
