Also, boss's 2nd phase gimmick kinda sucks for blocking with one needing to throw multiple units to stall. Doesn't seem as fun for me.

That's very possible. Still you gain 1 stack of event crystal to use to unlock events every week and it caps at 2, but there are no events to unlock? What's point of adding entire new mechanic, when you have nothing to unlock, and things you're unlocking with it will be added so rarely, you'll always have enough resources to unlock them. At this point they could just add all events. That's why I feel like I'm missing something.
