Please keep this going. I'd love to see where the mermaid thing leads to and how the 'idea' (or the mermaid's a real thing I don't know) will keep this romance between two girls.
This makes me go hmmmm... I like it. Though I wonder how author-san will keep readers engaged using obvious and overused tropes show in the very first chapter. Also, I hope I get to see the sensei in the coming chapters not just a plot device but a fleshed out character, like what's her deal acting like she's lazy or what.
I never thought Asuka would be this dark a character. I mean, I watched some clips of her from Hibike anime and I understand how damaged her psyche is considering how she's (as heavily and explicitly implied) psychologically and physically abused by her own mother.
And damn, I love how Asuka Tanaka's been reinterpreted as a dark and sinister romantic.

But it's by Canno, so... I did. Suckerpunched my gut. Losing a loved one, especially someone you've been intimate with through a long period of time, it's an understatement to say "it sucks".
