Personal Color always does beautiful work. There's something about this that is almost a physical ache, though -- a quiet, still sadness that's a palpable nostalgia. Wonderful.

Oh, certainly that's the usual fan-depiction, though I don't think that any of the ZUN manga have referred to a specific doll as Shanghai. (Then again, I can't remember Alice playing any substantial part in any of those since her one chapter in whichever Three Fairies manga it was and her chapter of Inaba of the Inaba.)

I'm guessing that the "medicine and sickness" bit is an artifact of the original format -- the whole thing's based on a text fanfic, and from the finished product, I'm guessing it was the kind of stream-of-consciousness self-narration thing. I've read enough fanfic in the English-speaking world that I believe that sure, it would have the narrator say something like that. I'm honestly kind of a fan.

Oh, and to update, in the event chapter immediately following the above, Honoka demands that Kotori marry her.

(In Anata/Everybody news, Kanata keeps demanding she/I sleep with her. Probably literally, except for the time that she offered herself as a body pillow.)

Belatedly, I guess the point of the image is actually the player/Anata's ability to "touch" your partnered idol to elicit comments (like "stop, that tickles" and "hey, that's kind of rude to touch me there") and "increase your bond". There's apparently been a lot of bond increasing going on.

What I find the most amusing is the bit with the Hestia costumes, and in particular, the apparent fact that it takes Maki and Nico both to fit in Nozomi's outfit's ribbon.

To be clear on this, Einhart is a descendant of, and has the memories of, the Hegemon Klaus Ingvalt; Vivio is a clone, with little to no memory transference, of the Sankt Kaiser Olivie Sägebrecht.

(I'd also say that the recording seems less like they intentionally made a sex tape, and more that, since they seem to have started while wearing their barrier jackets, either Raising Heart or Bardiche were accidentally still in recording mode from the training.)

I gotta admit, my only thought on page 2 was, "Breather? Emoji's been reading too much Nana to Kaoru."

I've been playing SIFAS for a few days now, and let me tell you, the Nijigasaki idols are not the only ones vaguely hitting on me/MC/Anata-chan. (We/they got hugged by a panting, sweating Mari, for one thing.) But then, ongoing subtextiness that's not related to the PC, er, goes on; I just got a screenshot of Chika (jokingly?) proposing to You over her cooking.

Seems more like trouble picking out the venue than the dress, from the initial conversation.

Is it just survivorship bias that makes me think that yuri (and yuri-adjacent) doujin artists either draw pristine, smooth-and-unopened vulvas or bushy-and-meaty ones with no middle ground?

I was personally questioning "My mother taught me the basics," but...

I love the concept and the execution here. I particularly enjoy the bits with the girls reading their own manga, and I applaud the outside the box thinking on Megumi's part — yeah, being the girls the MC always walks in on will keep you in the fan polls.

But talk about a terrifying world to live in! I can only hope the protagonist isn't fourth-wall-aware, or he's either the most tortured person ever or a complete sociopath. It's almost as bad as living in a world where Calvinism is true

...except they kinda are? Hayate literally built Reinforce Zwei and raised her from what the Wolkenritter describe as "like a baby". As for power imbalance, it's a little odd, but Hayate certainly outranks Rein and has more magical power than her. The fact that she has military rank suggests that she's legally considered an independent person and not a possession (Raising Heart and Bardiche don't get ranks!), and it's certainly implied by Agito that she's not dependent for her existence on Hayate's mana (like a familiar would be) but the whole situation is tricky.

Hayate certainly sometimes acts like she thinks she's Rein's mother, but then she seems to think she's Signum's mom, so who knows.

I particularly like how Pekoe seems to have memorized Bartlett's just to keep up her end of Darjeeling's proverb quotations.

1. You don't have to link to pictures of Umi. We know what she looks like.
2. You don't have to link to the same pictures of Umi twice. The first post is still there.
3. You don't have to go off insulting characters because I made a boob-size joke.
4. The whole joke is that Mami and Nozomi each have the biggest boobs in their series. It's not a put down of anybody else. In particular, I never called Umi an inferior anything, let alone "waifu".

In conclusion, quit defending your waifu from non-existent attacks and you'll look much more coherent. (Thanks for coming to my TED talk.)

(Hanamaru's right on page 9-10, by the way — replying to "wait a minute" with "So you really don't want to be with me?" isn't fair, zura. I'm okay with it here both because it doesn't seem intentionally manipulative and because fiction, but hitting the "oh, I guess you hate me" button right after you try for something your partner isn't sure they want is kind of a coercive gesture.)
