Why didn't Keiko eat her yummy nut? Dx
Because it's too precious and she'd rather preserve it. Somebody needs to persuade her, that she's deadly hungry, and the nut is her only resort to survival.
Yes, I have all the volumes and the structure is as follows:
Volume 1: Chapters 1 to 11.
Volume 2: Chapters 12 to 22. Chapters 22A and 22B are fused as Chapter 22.
Volume 3: Chapters 23 to 32. Chapters 27A and 27B are fused as Chapter 27 and 32A and 32B are fused as 32.
All volumes have a short chapter on color at the beginning, but have no title.
So far there is no indication which will be the last chapter of the fourth volume.
Oh, then it's quite clear. Chapter 43 is the last chapter in Vol.4. It will likely be released online as two chapters: 43A and 43B.
UPD. No I'm being dumb here. The last chapter could as well be 44. Ah, whatever..

Does anyone have a real Vol.3? Just curious if Chapter 32B really is part of the Vol.4 as it's listed here now. It should be called 32.1 and be part of Vol.3, I believe. 32.5 will be a Full-Colour chapter from the Vol.4
I think Ran calling Keiko "senpai" is mostly out of "old habits die hard" rather than anything else.
Mostly this. But it does have a particular taste that Ran's subconsciously abusing to make their quite intimate relationship less stressful for Keiko.
@takachi It's possible that the next chapter will be the talk with the ex, but then again, so is the visit to Keiko's mom, it has been mention quite a while ago, and it hasn't happened yet.
I can't completely disagree, even though up till now all volume-last chapters were flashbacks/retrospectives to summarize and extend the volume.
For example, Vol.1 was introducing the characters and their issues. Vol.2 was character development, digging deeper into the details and explaining their problems. Vol.3 was Ran's confession as she learned that Keiko's ex is still a possible threat. Vol.4 is Ran facing little response from Keiko and exposing the fact that Keiko's still concerned about her ex. That's why to me it sounds more logical that this Volume ends with a resolution of some sort. Whether it's a proper closure between Keiko and her ex, or whether this is time for Ran to leave Keiko's home - ugh, I wonder.
On the other hand, perhaps, solving issues with her mom fits into 24 pages much better than the whole ex thing, and is therefore a better option... I wonder, I just don't feel that it's good timing for it.
To be honest, if you remove your yuri googles, Ran's emotional involvement toward Keiko may be totally non romantic.
She cares a lot for her, as maybe she would for an older sister who has life issues.
We seek yuri here because Shou wrote yuri before, but there's no indication that this is actual yuri or that any romance, even one-sided, is taking place.
LOL, nice try. But you don't need the goggles to see the obvious. Ran is invested in Keiko, both romantically and sexually. I bet that Keiko's even completely aware of it, but is just afraid of developing the relationship further. It kinda makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of the entire series.
In the past she confused friendship with love. She spontaneously decided to have sex with a guy and realized that the relationship hadn't ever been close to love. She got hurt. And thus got herself busy with studying.
Later, she confused a crush with love. Just like the last time, she went for kids and a shotgun wedding without giving it much thought. She got hurt again when she realized that one needs time to live together and prove the strength of their relationship. So she got herself busy with Ran.
Now she kinda does everything properly - she doesn't want to rush it. This explains her BD present for Ran. In addition, it's also a confusing relationship because of the sexuality. She really needs time to face it and accept/reject it in order not to get herself hurt again. And only when she understands it herself will she be able to return and forgive her mother who apparently made the same mistake in the past with a shotgun wedding. The only difference being Keiko actually getting born. And that explains why her mother would say some harsh words to Keiko on the phone, when she learned that her daughter got into such a state. Getting dirty wasn't really about a miscarriage. It was about getting pregnant with the first guy Keiko fell for. This also explains the sudden change in Keiko's relationship after the miscarriage. The change was not because of the miscarriage, the change was because of what Keiko's mum told and reminded her about. The miscarriage drama only proved that having a crush is not enough to form a decent family.
Wow, actually, having written that, I'm pretty much in for the closure of the relationship between Keiko and her ex in the next two chapters. And the next volume - Keiko's path to accepting/rejecting Ran.
it's just this void of ''Friendship <<<<<< ------ >>>>>> Lover'' that I fail to understand completly right now and subsequently don't really have a name for it and I just think an Senpai-Kouhai relationship is an manifestation of this, I don't believe it's ''just'' which would mean I think of it as an downgrade of sort
@Maus, I kinda can relate to such a relationship. I had such a relationship (or a very similar one) with a guy. We lived together. I really liked him, emotionally, romantically. I felt really comfortable being next to him. I could imagine living with him for the rest of my life. But. He just didn't excite me like a girl would. I didn't feel disgusted kissing him, but I neither felt aroused doing that, like, at all. It's, like, void. I've never fantasized about him either, and when I tried, denying the obvious, I only got myself stressed. These days I still like him a lot. He's pretty much a family member to me, a brother, but that's it, not a lover.
I'm kinda afraid Keiko might be the same with Ran. There have been some hints that she might be at least a bisexual. But while I'm absolutely certain that Ran is gay, I have my doubts about Keiko. We'll see

More seriously, hasn't Ran been pushing Keiko for a while now to sit down with her ex like adults and settle things once and for all? Whether getting back together or walking away doesn't matter, although obviously the latter would be better for Ran.
Actually a lot of the story parts have to do with Ran building Keiko up to the point where she can face her demons. Not just the ex but her mom too, and as we saw earlier dealing with simple things like seeing kids playing.
Yeah, for the last few chapters. It seems that the next volume will start with Ran (probably) pushing Keiko and her ex to have the talk and near the end of the volume (inbetween slice of life goodness) there will be some sort of conclusion to their relationship. Either she'll get back together with him (which at the moment seems unlikely) or they will have a proper talk and leave on good terms.
Then again, it's more likely to start with Keiko's mom cause she wasn't mention in recent chapters (and he likes to throw in unexpected stuff), and after the mother the talk with the ex will happen.
really good points, Nez!
@telamon, I thought we might actually have the ex talk already in the next chapter which is supposedly the last of this volume. Let's see, given the circumstances, I can as well imagine Ran approaching Keiko's ex in the bar and forcing him to talk to Keiko himself. Or she starts drinking again. I think so because Ran really seems to be in a pinch - it's rare for her to look depressed in front of the others. Boy am I looking forward to the drama!
WTF? Thanks for the translation!! Damn i thought nothing interesting was happening...!
well, you better wait for the proper translation - numerous chapters in the past proved I'm often wrong here and there. But one thing's clear, the chapter's interesting. And I hope to see the end of the ex arc at the end of this Volume. Good news is the next chapter comes out in two weeks.
Anyone a clue what is happening? Except for the playing doctor.
What I got is Ran's kinda depressed because things don't work out with senpai. Her friends/colleagues ask her if it's because of the guy? And she replies that that's how it kinda is. So they ask her to tell just a little bit, but doesn't look like she replied anything
I don't know what exactly Keiko's doing. Sorting out the old clothes? Trying to deal with the past? Not sure why so many boxes. There's a TV drama where a guy runs back after the girl and asks her to wait and that he loves her and wants to start from the beginning again. I didn't quite get Ran's comments about it. It seems fitting the Keiko's ex topic and she probably still hopes for his comeback? Or may be she's just worried that she'll be single forever.
There some important lines I didn't get but apparently at the end, just before Ran and Keiko are about to eat, Ran tells Keiko that all's gonna be fine and senpai will find her happiness. And again I didn't get it at all. Was it that Ran said something like, only if she lets Keiko find it. Keiko somehow gets red, and says you're inedible? Again not sure about this part. And ran replies with the hearts, you know, I'm delicious! Then Keiko says that if that's the case then she's gonna eat Ran. And Ran just goes Kyaaa <3<3 But Keiko stops... and they both Itadakimasu the gods for the food

You're eating my fanclub chocolate? ;~;
yesh, ish very tashty! shank you!!! <3 <3 <3
Woohoo... plenty of lesbians here. It's almost like an all girls school.
lol if I ever decide to write a story, I'll employ the all-girls Dynasty Academy in it... the MCs will be going to chocolate club to bake cakes... and... I still need to figure out how to add zombies here...

Not too shy for the fan club we're starting right?
you mean your fan club, Chocolate, right? I'm loving it!
oh Seol-a's SOOO in love and so lost as to what to do next...
and now I really... I really want to read a chapter with the two of them going for a date and shopping - someone needs a new umbrella and some clothes after all, hehe. And of course an embarrassing scene in a tight changing room is a must! After all that, I can imagine Seol-a confessing out of the blue, right before they are about to go each to their apartments.
And I'd love to hear your piano pieces if ever possible.
uhm...that would be tricky in many ways.. however, I just happen to have one unreleased sketch which I can safely share here. It's not a proper track with full arrangement - just a simple piano melody inspired by Rie Fu and recorded in one go.
^That was a pretty cool yet long self-intro! :b
lmao Takachi, you seriously had the best intro ever. (Y)
takachi blows it out of the water again, unsurprisingly...
Nominates that post for post of the year as well
Satsuki, Liar, OrangePekoe, I haven't mentioned it above, but I'm actually a very shy person, so your comments just made my face as red as the insides of one's head the watermelon I'm eating now! But thank you xD
such a simply but cute story.. oh and Risa is looove!
the girl in the pink coat is Min-Jeong, right? Wonder why was she invited to the wedding? I thought she went to another school and wasn't in touch with Seol-a's classmates. Or did Seol-a leave the wedding and go to another place to drink and accidentally run into her friend?
Of course she was dreaming. Poor Seola having to deal with it all alone. Her tears made me feel sad with her.
indeed, this scene was very touching... She really needed No-rae's hug and smile...
I don't think the chapter was "released early" last week or this week.
I think the time of release is now permanently at:
12:00 AM Monday, Korea Standard Time (KST)Unless Comico decides to change it yet again.
oh really? Good to know! I like it muuuuch better this way! ^__^
oh wow, an early chapter AGAIN?! We're lucky!!!
Did Seol-a dream of No-rae or was it real? I guess it was a wishful thinking or a dream...
ugh, I've almost missed a thread and I've never really properly introduced myself on Dynasty. So here's my legend.
Long time ago, in a galaxy far far away lived a zombie called takachi, or taka-chan (which was short for Takahashi Eria, but who cares). And you guessed it right, that neither was her real name, nor the planet she lived on was called Japan.
takachi's a female just above 30 years old, transgendered, but successfully transitioned and turned into a zombie ages ago. Apparently no one can usually tell and distinguish her from normal humans until she eats their brains. SHOCK. ZOMBIE SHOCK!
She's easy to romantically fall for various kinds of brains, female or male - it's usually the personality that initiates and drives her head hunt. But it's a fact she has to admit that cute girls taste uncountably more delicious. And she spent quite some years of her zombie life to figure it out.
takachi's current planet is located somewhere in the European galaxy, but she's kept moving from its eastern part to the west over the last decade, so who knows, may be one day she'll even end up in the United Planets of Andromeda.
takachi loves music a lot, various genres, various kinds! She can even play the piano and produces her own pieces occasionally, although she rarely completes a track. Consider it a huge success if she writes one a year...
She also likes surreal stories and art, especially those of Salvador Dali, David Lynch, and Ikuhara Kunihiko, although she strongly doubts she would like to eat their brains. She doesn't like all of their works either. But you can tell she's especially obsessed with those of ikuni. Needless to say she loves complex stories in general, with a lot of subtext, metaphors, symbolism, and blah blah blah to keep her zombie brains busy from the constant hunger of loneliness. She also often ends up stressing herself with writing down her thoughts in posts longer than it's really needed as well as overanalysing everything to death. This lame story of hers is just another proof of that.
So love her or hate her - that's who she is. And if you suddenly feel like feeding her with some brains in a controllable fashion, she now has an account takahashi.eria at gmail/g+/hangouts - don't miss your chance to play with a cute living zombie!
Oh, I'm actually not at all a fan of zombie movies. But having written a joke about it once kinda forces me to use it again and again.
What time was the chapter last week released at? Anyone know?
around 3PM GMT, I think, but it was the first one after a long break, so an earlier release was something I expected. I guess the 42nd will come out in agreement to standard Comico schedule, in like 6-7 hours.
Oh, I so hope it's not going to be yet another flashback. I really miss my cutest No-rae and a sweet hug between the two. Rereading the chapters made me think again that when the girls' eyes met (referring to the hospital scene), and No-rae leaned toward Seol-a to hug her, Seol-a realized she anticipated a kiss. I think the reawakened memories of Yu-ji should now help Seol-a to realise that she's always been gay and that it kinda explains her issues with becoming friends with girls. So I'm curious how she's going to face No-rae now, when she's so conscious about her feelings and when she also understands that at least for her those feelings are perfectly normal. Anyway, my bets (or rather hopes) are on a date chapter!

Australia is a symbol. To go to Australia means to break the world's eggshell and revolutionise one's world. That said, everyone who has been to Australia is gay. Oh, and if not for Australia, there would be too many car accidents in Korea. LOL, now I need an Utena x FF crossover art...

wow... I'm like speechless... Yu-Ji died in a car accident in Australia?! That's harsh Korean drama for you!
So the other ballet girl is probably Min-Jeong? Then it explains how they became friends but never got close enough as one would with her classmate. And it's kinda obvious now why Seol-a most likely also had to quit ballet dancing.
