Maybe we can just create a Butch tag? Which kind of content did you think about contemplating with the split, OP?

One of the more requested tags is Short hair. I suppose the most obvious split would be one tag for "masculine looks" and one tag for "masculine activities." There may be a third track as well that I'm not seeing so clearly.

Vehement disagree. Does wanting to be equal really count as "wish fulfillment"? I've had more than enough homophobia in reality; hell if I want to spend my recreational time seeing more of it. Just because reality sucks doesn't mean fiction for gay people has to suck too. Gay people being a minority isn't some fundamentally important aspect of homosexuality that needs to exist in other worlds.

I would take a different tack, actually. Manga doesn't do this, I assume because the culture isn't that similar in this regard. However, I can tell you the vast majority of close relationships I have are with other LGBT people. High tendency towards women, too. This isn't some grand coincidence - my sexuality has played a huge role in my life, having lead me here and pushed me into hobbies where I have a high probability of meeting other people superficially like me. Any story about me would be infinitely likely to feature an "unrealistic" amount of gay people. I've never heard of my experience being hugely abnormal, so I can't see the trope itself being terribly "unrealistic," even if yuri often portrays it as mere happenstance.

But then I also love "b-b-b-but we're both girls!" in manga, so maybe this is just boomer life.

Keep in mind that these are the raw originals, not some scanlated version!

I can only figure that the author picked that onomatopoeia from Western websites dedicated to Asian manga... I mean, it's not uncommon for us otaku to use "doki doki" in our writings or fanart...

Lot of people seem to be big fans of Yoshitomi Akihito. I dunno. I mean, I'm reading this, and it's kind of interesting, and there's always something interesting in the dialogue, but . . . at least half the characters just don't feel like people to me. This chapter actually felt a bit more naturalistic than many, but often it's either stiff or I'm just constantly thinking "What on earth kind of person would say/do THAT?!" all the time. And not in a "how gloriously weird" kind of way, just in a "This feels like a fake person constructed to create certain effects" kind of way.

Really well said, was literally just discussing this with someone the other day. Though I think of it less in a "and I don't like it / get it" way, and more of just an interesting observation.

The scanner I was planning to use wasn't scanning the pages correctly (it looked blurry no matter how many times I tried to adjust/flatten the book..) I ended up using my phone app (test image earlier) which only exports in JPEG with no other setting..
If this looks okay or need any pages redone lmk.. then I can also do the 2 re-edited stories.. otherwise hopefully someone else could provide better scans ;-;
