Relax, girl. Yes you should think about this, but not to the point of overthinking yourself into depression. The two of you can work together to figure things out.

Hopefully this will turn out to be one of those cases where these two spend all this time worrying about their social stations being different and how they can't be together in the end, only for Momo's parents to totally support their relationship.

What bothers me even on top of that is just how unnecessary it was. It's not like Amanchu is a romance series: the author could have gone through the whole thing without ever needing to clarify whether the heavy yuri vibes between Hikari and Futaba ever went anywhere. Sure, I would have loved to see them actually become a couple, but the pure slice of life nature of the series meant that that wasn't by any means NECESSARY for the plot.

Because of that, the whole plot line with the boy feels like the author heard some of her readers shipping the two girls, and decided to slam the door shut on that idea as hard as she could.

@juanelric: I'll say that ARIA is still a beautiful series that doesn't pull this kind of thing, and it would be a shame if you never see it, but I'd also understand if you'd just rather not have anything to do with this author's work any more.

The hamfisted way in which the author chose to slam the door shut on yuri shippers soured me towards this series. Which is a terrible shame, because I loved it a lot, and I still love their previous series, for reasons that had almost nothing to do with with any subtexty relationships between the girls.

I don't get why people are talking about Sumire suddenly aging. Manga artist do that
cute childification thing all of the time. I think it's called chibi style or something.

It's different when it's your initial impression of the character. The general rule (and the wisest approach) is to portray the character accurately in their first appearance, and only afterwards start using deformed versions of them for appropriate situations.

That said, it's not like it's a big deal here, it just feels strange.
