^^^ Yep, 9 cm taller. About three and a half inches. Ina is probably about the same as Ame without her shoes, but there's no "canonical" measurement for that, only that she's 157 cm tall with them on. I tried to eyeball it with a height chart and they look like they'd add 6 or 7 cm. Kiara and Calli are significantly taller than all of them at 165 and 167 cm respectively.

All this makes Gura the second shortest Hololive member, standing at 141 cm, taller than Luna by just 1 cm.
Amelia is tied for 9th shortest at 150 cm, alongside Towa, Iofi, Marine and, formerly, Aloe.
Ina is somewhere in the middle if you count her shoes but I'm too lazy to figure out where.
Kiara is tied for 4th tallest (shorter than Botan at 3rd) alongside AZKi, Choco and Moona.
Calli is the 2nd tallest Hololive member, second only to Coco who stands at a whopping 7 meters long 180 cm tall.

I wonder how it feels for Gura, being just barely taller than a 0 year-old. (Or was it 00 after her birthday passed? I remember hearing that.)

Forgot to mention: we're most likely getting a dedicated Nijisanji EN group very soon, the auditions were like 3 moths ago.

Nearly 4 months since auditions started. Holo EN Vsinger was around the same time, too. Honestly a bit worried that it's taking this long

I wouldn't worry. There's no doubt in my mind they got hundreds or even thousands of applicants, and they would have multiple stages to the audition process. I expect to see news about it in the next couple months, at least for nijisanji EN. The vsinger thing I've got no idea about. That stuff is totally foreign to me.

The reason you're confused is because the characters are confused. They don't know what's going on either, that's what the story is about, figuring those things out. It's messy and confusing because that's what it's like.

The year is 2008. The setting, California. "Proposition 8" is on the state ballot. It's a controversial little thing. It would amend the state constitution of California to bar same-sex marriage. Yes, California, possibly the most staunchly liberal of all 50 states in these great United States of America. How did it get there? Have we all lost our minds? Has the world gone mad?

No! It was put there by referendum!

You see, Once upon a time, some goober thought we Californians would benefit from some direct democracy! Anyone can get their stupid idea on the ballot if they can get enough signatures. Any of these stupid ideas can be made law by the vote of the public. You can even make amendments to the state constitution. As one would imagine, this has led to some slight issues over the years. But this story is not about those issues.

This story is about prop 8.

Proposition 8. Surely such a hateful bill would never pass in California? Well it did. Same-sex marriage would not be allowed in the state of California. But wait! We shall take this law to the courts! And to the courts we did go. And behold! Victory! Prop 8 has been overturned! No longer will the gays of California have to suffer under the thumb of Big Homophobia! All have been set free to promote the gay agenda!

Ah, but of course that's not the end of the story. Far from it. Because now the court's decision is being appealed. The supporters of prop 8 want a higher court to take a look at the decision. That's right, it's not over yet. Except it kind of is, because the decision is upheld. But, not content to take this L, the appeals go all the way to the highest court in the land, the United States Supreme Court!

The time has come. The final showdown. It's do or die...

...Honestly? The lawyers on the pro-prop 8 side flub the whole thing so badly I actually feel a little bad for them. The lawyers, not the prop 8 people. The prop 8 people can go fuck themselves.

The Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, has decided in favor of gay. And what's more, as a United States Supreme Court ruling, the decision applies to ALL of the United States, not just California. At last, our gays have been set free!

And that is the story of how California, by banning same-sex marriage, made same-sex marriage legal.

I am, of course, glossing over things quite a bit in the name of making a more entertaining post. Especially the legal stuff, which is a lot more complicated than what I've presented. I basically skipped over all the actual substance of the cases. What they were about, what the arguments and decisions and reasoning and all that were. Fun fact though! Justice Scalia of all people was one of the five that gave us the happy ending we got. I have no love for that guy, to say the least, but hey, I guess he did something right.

I think it's fair to address the spammers on Coco's chat because anyone who even collabs with her has to turn members only chat. Don't be afraid, this shit was never political. It's really obvious this was never about Taiwan, they are obsessed and just used that as an excuse to get those morons on their side, even those idiots got bored of doing the spam for so long(or got doxxed) and it's now just the obsessed few.

This particular issue isn't political, per se, but to explain the background you'd have to at least talk about what the situation with China/Taiwan is, and why it matters to some people. I doubt it's an issue for anyone around here, but I'd like to err on the side of caution for the sake of the people running the site. Don't want to overstep my bounds, and all that.

In regards to Nijisanji, I understand that it's very large, so I'm not expecting anyone to write an essay on who's who. Something about the notable streamers or some blurbs about the different branches with a clip or two would do just fine. I might link something with Hana Macchia's dad being an awesome/embarrassing gamer-dad, since that's most of what I know. :P

^^^ I haven't kept up with this series since I finished watching the anime, but I'd assume it's just playing to the premise of the story. The prince charming in the game is, like everything else, upended when Catarina becomes the anti-villainess. (Not gonna deny that he's worst character though.)

As for the endgame, isn't the only solution the harem route? That way no one is satisfied! Fans across the globe will unite in frustration, bringing us all closer together! Doesn't that sound like a wonderful world? One united in our shared disgruntlement?
