hey, it beats that one tentacle "yuri" doujin where one girl said she loved the MC, then tentacle rapes her entire class and the MC's brother.
Is this on Dynasty? I hope not 'cause I'd probably be tempted to read it out of a morbid sense of curiosity. If it's on some dumb porn site, then I'll be safe 'cause I don't dare to go to those cesspits.
Since we are on the topic, did anyone realise that cake made by woman are smoother than cakes made men? It's not like I don't like cakes made by men, I just think that cakes made by women tasted bett..
... yeah as if. Who gives a fk if the maker of a product or author of a manga is black, white, male, female, transgender or in between. If you don't like it, just avoid reading it, and the scanlator will stop translating it when there is not enough interests. Really.
( since it's not like anyone here is paying the mangaka anyway)The comments in this thread increasingly has became similar to the sort of complaints that deep conservatives had, about how homosexual directors, or actors ruined TV shows for them and wished there are less gay characters in their favourite shows. Heck same argument, many are still claiming that "the pervert homosexuals" tried to insert their fantasy into mainstream entertainment to corrupt the youth too.
God, this ended up being so much longer than I expected it to be... I'm probably derailing this thread so much right now, but at least I can rest assured that I didn't actually start the whole derailment process... I'm still contributing to it though, so I'm still pretty culpable. So, yeah, mods, if you want to remove this or move it to another thread or something, that's fine by me.
I mean, I see your point and all, but this is an entirely different beast. Starting with the cake thing, I mean, how cake tastes comes down to how the baker bakes them and it is certainly not affected by their gender (unless you're being serious about that smoother thing). The presence of fanservice and who it is directed to if it is present is ABSOLUTELY affected by the gender of the writer, however. I admit that I don't really watch/read much female-oriented stuff outside of female-oriented yuri, but I did at least watch Ouran High School Host Club and Kiss Him Not Me. I don't recall Ouran having many female gaze scenes (it's been 2 years since I watched it though, so my memory of it is a bit hazy), and I feel that Kiss Him Not Me actually had more male gaze scenes than female gaze scenes despite (presumably) being directed toward a straight female audience. Well, I guess the yaoi visions would all qualify as female gaze, but they're just that, visions as opposed to the ol' tired "dude falling into a girl's boobs" gag and whatnot. Okay, I'm really getting off track here, but the point is that stuff written by males generally has more fanservice than stuff written by females... I'm not saying that men are misogynistic scumbags or anything, I'm just pointing out that, at least in the land of yuri, that's just how it is. As for things outside of yuri... I have no clue, really, since I don't watch much anime outside of yuri. I think Full Metal Alchemist is written by a woman, and I believe some of the character designs are pretty oversexualized too. Not saying that it's necessarily bad, but, yes, I do know that women can make fanservice-y things too. That said... just compare, like, New Game to Now Loading though. I believe Mikanuji's female, and her stuff has so much less stupid ecchi crap than New Game does (now, if Mikanuji is male, then that invalidates this particular point, but, well, I think the rest is still pretty valid).
I certainly don't have anything against straight dudes since I myself am a straight dude (maybe bi, I'm not quite sure though, but I'll see later in life, I guess) as opposed to all that asshole conservatives who make those arguments. I'm definitely not saying that the straight dudes who write ecchi stuff are trying to "corrupt the youth" or whatever, I'm just saying that 1. I do not like to see it and 2. yuri written by women generally has less of that objectifying stuff (yes, yes, Mira and others exist, but I already discussed them in my first post in this thread anyhow) and, ergo, I like yuri written by women better. Simple as that, I'm not fucking discriminating against anyone like those homophobes are. It's not like movies and TV shows or whatever with LGBT directors are any different from movies and TV shows with straight directors apart from, perhaps, a desire to tackle LGBT issues more, but it's not every single gay director and actor out there automatically must direct or act in gay stuff. Certainly, there are Japanese dudes that do not indulge in pointless ecchi, but the fact remains that MOST OF THEM DO (I'd say that Western stuff, though, is, for the most part, getting better about all this pointless fanservice-y crap).
And, frankly, I feel that the identity of the writer DOES matter if they are writing a story specifically about their identity. I mean, I'm not saying that straight dudes or even straight girls can't write lesbian stuff cause they absolutely can (Greg Rucka does a great job with Batwoman and Renee Montoya, for instance), but I feel like a transgender writer would generally write a better book about transgender people than some straight person. It's not like you see white people writing books about the black experience in America too often, do you? It's not like how a cake tastes depends at all on the identity of the cook... well, I guess it might since a black cook and an Asian cook might use different ingredients or something. I don't know anything about cooking, but I'd imagine that everyone just follows the set recipes? I mean, even if they don't, this is a completely different topic in my eyes. That's my opinion, at least, and it's certainly a moot point, but it's what I firmly stand by anyway.
And I'd like to point out again that I never once said that I don't like this thing. In fact, I freaking love it. I love to see unique yuri, and this sure is unique yuri. Relationships with that one heartthrob ladykiller or whatever and then that other girl are wonderful (though the other girl in this particular thing could stand to be much more assertive). The art's great, the writing's funny and clever, the combat actually seems to be pretty well-done, and, whaddya know, the girls wear ACTUAL, LEGITIMATE KNIGHT ARMOR. Except when they aren't, which is the only issue I have with it. I mean, if I like something enough, I can look past stupid ecchi crap, and I do like this enough to look past it, but it's still frankly just a waste of space and a waste of time. Okay, maybe not in this particular chapter when the fanservice only occupies like 3 panels at most, but, I mean, some anime devote entire episodes to freaking beach episodes and I have to wonder... is that really necessary??

Here I was claiming that Mira's hentai stuff is better than that drivel written by dudes, and then she decides to throw in a tentacle rape scene into her yuri work! Are you freaking kidding me?? (as a side note, I agree with bodevanlot). To be honest, the fact that they're female does make it better to me and, heck, the fact that the author is female makes it better to me as well. Still gross but slightly better. I would hate a male writer forever if he wrote something like this and that "Boooobs" afterword, but, frankly, it seems charming and funny to me when it comes from a woman instead (well, the afterword, not the other thing, that's still gross).
Hoping this is really a Time Traveller manga because it would awesome like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - (Then it will be "The Girl Who Leapt Back 7 years Through Time" Haha) but what if it turned out to be like this manga? Sorry just having some trust issues.
You haven't even mentioned the best time-travel manga of them all.
While both of these manga are alright, I think the yuri time travelling greats are pretty much just... (I guess this kind of spoils important stuff about the stuff I'm mentioning, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you read/watched them) are Madoka Magica and Qualia the Purple. Such amazing series, and I'm happy to see another yuri thing that seems to be tackling time travel in an interesting way. It doesn't seem to be quite as dark as those two things, but, who knows, maybe it'll start off lighthearted then turn into something truly horrifying like those two things.
As a man myself (more like a young adult but close enough, I guess) I definitely find myself agreeing with majere's assertions. I certainly don't think that yuri is any purer than straight or gay romance, but I definitely do too think that yuri written by women is less pervy and crap than yuri written by men. I mean, just look at all the great works of yuri out there, stuff like Bloom into You, Takemiya Jin's stuff, Morishima Akiko's stuff, Morinaga Milk's stuff, etc. Even when there are nude scenes like that hot tub scene in Bloom into You, they are 1) handled respectfully and 2) actually serve a purpose in the story and are not just thrown in there to fulfill a T&A quota or something. Just compare these things to crap like Valkyrie Drive or Sin Nanatsu no Taizai for God's sake (disclaimer: I could only stand one episode of VD and never watched Sin). Even when it comes to full on porn, I feel that Mira, Ooshima Tomo... that woman who wrote that Miku/Luka Box thing and the devil story all write more realistic, respectful sex scenes than a man ever could (two counterpoints: 1) Mira's debatable, yes. 2) it's not like I have any idea what realistic lesbian sex scenes and, frankly, I'll never know and don't care to know. Well, I guess I kinda to care to know since I always check the Dynasty comments of hentai stuff I read to see how realistic they are... Absurd sex scenes are fine for some people, but, yeah, they ain't for me. I appreciate the little things that let you know that someone legitimately knows their shit and all). I admit that some men do produce good yuri free of fanservice like Fujieda Miyabi, but he's the exception rather than the rule in a world filled with men who view women purely as sex objects... I mean, yeah, I'm probably going too far by claiming that all men who insert fanservice into their works are sexist pigs, but, fuck it, I'm a dude too, and fuck them too. I'm not entirely opposed to fanservice when there's a legitimate reason for it; I was fine with Kill la Kill, for example, just because of how absurd it was. But, yeah, not like this when there are random molestation scenes and panty shots and all that nonsense.
That's not to say that I don't enjoy this series though. It's unique and that's rare these days, the characters are interesting, the combat's a joy to look at... I just wish it had less of this stupid fanservicey stuff.

I get this is a yuri site, but it's fun to watch all the misandry going on. Also love all the butthurt comments because it's not some deep psychological insight into why he crossdresses. There are straight crossdressers. Get over it.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't really see any of these things you're complaining about in this thread... sure, I see complaining since they want yuri and they're not getting it (well, I was complaining about that too but that's irrelevant), but that's certainly not complaining over why this straight crossdresser dude. Where are you seeing this stuff?

I thought the sequel would clear things up at least a little, but, nope, it just made things ten times more confusing. Who'd have thought... it's a shame since I actually thought PAX 1 could've been the start of something interesting. In the end, well, it looks like it went nowhere...
Aw man, I thought that Nene and Umiko's secret was that they started dating or whatever, but it looks like that ain't the case. This is still good though... I don't know the first thing about programming, but it's always nice to have more Kobayashi-sans in my manga, you know? At least I understand stuff like hit detection and lag, I guess...
https://www.humblebundle.com/sekai-project-bundle
Sekai Bundle includes Highway Blossoms! Perhaps this is the kick it needs to become more popular and profitable and encourage even more ventures into yuri...? Yeah, probably not, this thing has crap like Nekopara after all, I shouldn't be expecting much. I'm probably just gonna be seeing Highway Blossoms a lot over at Steam Game Swap and Indie Game Swap... Well, I'll try to get the message out there at least since reddit isn't talking about this as much as some of the other VNs. Understandable considering the reputation of stuff like World End Economica but... still disappointing. I am interested though in WORLD END ECONOMICA, the fault milestone games, Sunrider, those Magical Girl games, and Sound of Drop (for the last two, purely 'cause I heard there's subtext... thanks Hella Yuri!), so perhaps it wouldn't be a bad purchase. I mean, I wouldn't buy any of the other things independently but if it comes in a bundle, why not, I'll take it!
You know, I've been waiting so long for a Humble Yuri Bundle or LGBTQ Bundle or something... it's probably not gonna happen, but you never know. I would buy it in a heartbeat if anything like that ever came out.
Edit: You know, another good thing about these anime bundles is that the cards are always so expensive! It's great! I can sell them for so much and possibly even get all my money back! Of course, it'll all be stuck on Steam, but, eh, what else is there is to buy anyway but Steam games. And, of course, seeing as though they're in a bundle, card prices are gonna drop rapidly, so... better jump on this train quickly, I guess.

Well, that came out of nowhere.
Meursault, did I go crazy or something or is your name different now? I could have sworn it was like frigidaire or something like that just yesterday, and now... it's not. If you've always been Meursault, well, I guess it's just a sign that I need some damn sleep.
Phew, I thought that woman in the picture above was referring to yuri as a whole rather than just loli yuri. If she had a problem with homosexuality as a whole, I'd be pissed, but if she just has a problem with pedophilic gay stuff... well, I suppose that's more understandable, at least. I wouldn't say it gives her the right to dictate what other people read, but I can still understand her aversion to it.
Not so sure about the Kuro Uta thing, she seems like just a good friend, never really showed any ulterior reason for being interested in Uta getting turned down.
It may just be me overthinking it, but Kuro's face in this panel (https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/my_unrequited_love_ch03#9) right after Uta says "I will always think about Kaoru" seems to be suggesting that she loves Uta herself and is kind of sick of her constantly talking about Kaoru. Perhaps she wants Uta to just confess so she can get over Kaoru and fall in love with her instead, eh?
Also, I just noticed while I was looking for this panel... is that the girl who slept with her teacher (forgot her name, whoops) hiding behind that tree there? (https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/my_unrequited_love_ch03#8) Not sure why she's there if it's really her, but it may prove to be interesting in the future.
Is 'que' really right, though? I've only ever heard " por que".
"Qué" means 'what?' (or 'that' in a sentence), "porque" altogether means 'because' and "Por qué" separated means 'why?'... I'm glad I was born as a Spanish native speaker cause it's really hard to learn it with all the different tenses it has... English is so easy that I started learning a little while ago and now I can at least write something like this and hope that I'm understood.
Examples:
¿'Qué' comiste ayer? ➡️'What' did you eat yesterday?
Comí una hamburguesa 'que' me me preparó mama ➡️I ate a hamburger 'that' my mom cooked for me.
¿'Por qué' no fuiste al médico? ➡️'Why' didn't you go to the doctor?
'Porque' no quería ir ➡️'Because' I didn't want to go
Don't worry, it definitely is understandable and grammatically correct at that. I've been studying Spanish since, what, like first grade (I'm in eleventh now), and I can still barely hold a conversation with anyone... I mean, I can write fairly well and I can actually say things pretty well, but listening is hell for me. I did at least understand these four sentences you wrote here, so perhaps I'm not quite as bad at Spanish as I initially thought.

Is there a reason why Omake 2 here (https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/master_and_me_2#25) is an uncolored version of the omake in Master and Me 2 (https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/master_and_me_2#25)? It'd make sense if this released first, but the credits indicate that this released in 2016 and Master and Me 2 released in 2015. Am I overthinking again? Yep.
Anyhow, definitely another cute entry in this cute series! Master's semi-hidden perverted side is just so great.
But if I come through the gate, I'd have to break down the door.
That's some sound logic right there, Marisa. I'll have to break into my friend's house through the window some day and see how that'll work.
You know you're turning 22 this year, right?
Big words coming from someone hugging a shark plushie.
Huh, imagine if Pokemon of all anime decided to throw in a lesbian couple! Perhaps that'd convince me to start watching Sun and Moon, if Lillie and Mallow actually became a couple.
I don't understand why older sis randomly slipped into Spanish (Que?? assuming that's not also some Japanese word or something), but it still made me laugh. I guess she was so shocked she said something in a language she never learned? Well, it's probably just a dumb thing to think about. I don't know anything about Japanese schools, but I guess it's not unreasonable to think that they teach Spanish like American schools do.

I thought it was pretty cool that Maki called that... girl... (her name hasn't been revealed yet, huh? Unless I completely missed it) a devil at the end of the first chapter and an angel at the end of the second chapter. It seems like it perfectly shows her changing and conflicting feelings for that girl as well as the different sides of her personality... Wonder what's up with that earring though. Yeah, that's about the extent of my "deep literary analysis" skills assuming that it's even a correct analysis.
Also, is there any reason why Tsucchi calls Maki Makki? I presume it's just a nickname, but, I mean, what's the point of a nickname if it sounds exactly the same as your actual name? I assume it's pronounced differently in Japanese, but, well, I don't know.
Seems fairly divisive so far, which I can certainly understand. I mean, it's not that divisive but you've got people saying they don't like all the random crap while others do like it. Personally, I'm on the side of the people who like all the random crap. I'm enjoying where the story's going so far, and I'll probably enjoy where it goes in the future.

I wonder if every chapter's gonna end with slightly ominous final words.
Soooo, would this be considered yuri? Also, maybe it's just me, but it seems kind of weird for the cow and the rabbit to argue over which of their species is eaten and killed more by humans...
incest is the best after selfcest
Selfcest? Doesn't sound appealing.
I'm replying cuz someone said "selfcest doesn't sound appealing" xD...
I haven't read much myself but currently i'm reading "I Am My Wife". (you should give it a shot)
So far it seems like it will be selfcest (het) but who knows..it's about a guy who's first love gets married and then he goes back in time to the period where he actually started crushing on the girl, but as a girl, and his male self also exists...and so far seems like the MC's male self is falling for his female self from the future, yaoi(?), het(?) idk (both i guess), selfcest (check). Anyways i'm interested to see how this will conflict with the future self's crush. And if that doesn't sound appealing, i guess you can stick with your statement :P
To me, at least, it doesn't sound particularly appealing. I have to admit that it does sound pretty interesting if only because it's such a bizarre premise. Hopefully, someone makes a gay version of this story eventually since such a story would definitely appeal to my tastes heh.

Well, I guess it was good for my well-being that I didn't bother to read Volume 5. After the relatively brief hiatus between 4 and 5 and the revelation that it was canceled, I was pretty sure it'd have a crappy ending, and, lo and behold, it did... It's a shame, this could have really been something great if it wasn't dragged on for so damn long... and, wow, to add insult to injury, the "bonus chapter" is just more yaoi and some random stupid pictures. I mean, I enjoyed the yaoi more than the yuri in this thing, but this is yuri for God's sake, at least let the alleged main characters get a page in the last chapter. I wonder if this is how yaoi fans felt during the three-chapter yuri arc and the various other yuri chapters and whatnot... though, in that case, the yuri added to the story and had an actual point as opposed to this crap. Plus, Prunus Girl had a great, conclusive ending, while this apparently doesn't... this definitely needs a continuation but, let's face it, it probably still wouldn't go anywhere meaningful. I mean, I certainly would not be opposed to more Prunus Girl either, but that's because I actually like the story as opposed to here where I just want SOMETHING to happen.
