That's not a reason to release something that looks unfinished and half-assed. If your circumstances do not allow you to do a good job, say so instead of half-assing it. And if someone takes up more work than they are capable of doing, that's on them.

That's the thing for me at least. We're all here reading this for free due to both the work of the creator, and the translators, so I'm just happy getting a chapter at all. I don't view getting a shorter chapter as anything serious. This chapter gave me set up and something to look forward to with the next chapter.

I think also with this series especially, the age and height gap of the younger but bigger character taking care of the older but smaller character is a fun dynamic.

I think that's an important factor that is mentioned in the story. As someone who has had various times where I haven't eaten or hydrated properly I can testify in my experience at least that it's no joke. Where the room spins and standing up is difficult, and most of these experiences were when I wasn't sick on top of it.

Along those lines I was thinking she speaks in kind of a "classic literature" fashion. I didn't have too much of an issue following it, I think because I like some artsy and old things, along with Theater haha

Mask and Karou have an interesting dynamic, and I think Karou's character is progressing in a mostly forward direction. Maybe a bit slowly and she has a lot of personal growth to achieve yet, but she'll get there eventually I hope.
