Loving this chapter and the way it's both fluffy and setting up potential drama for the future.

Also I like how Yuu's sister (Rei?) definitely seems to be shipping them.

She's intimidated/turned on by the abs? I can't blame her.

It's especially bad for Bloom Into You since nobody made a comprehensive character list with their full names (that I could find, anyways)

I'm not sure why, but I really like all of the Yoshiko pairings. It seems like she'd work well as both a bottom or a top.

Is it bad that I can never remember character's names, but recognize their faces? Even for manga I really like like Bloom Into You...It's like that with me for real-life people too.

Regardless, I do kinda like this pairing.

I love how desperately Mercy just barges into that conversation.

That's so sad it goes all the way from being funny to just sad again.

All of this is taken from the Touhou Wiki's page on the Hakurei Shrine:

Including PC-98 characters, there's Genji for sure, maybe Shingyouku, Kana Anaberal sets up shop there in one of the endings to Phantasmagoria of Dimensional Dream, and Ruukoto lives there in another ending of PDD. Mima lives around the area apparently.

Not including them, the three fairies of light (Sunny Milk, Luna Child & Star Sapphire) live behind the shrine in a tree IIRC. Also Rin stays over at the shrine sometimes.

Looking back at it, I got into Touhou at first from the really weird memey IOSYS music videos. Around the same time was when I got into yuri too, and the combination of the two somehow led me to this site and I found a bunch of doujins. Er, not that that has much to do with the OP.

If I have any advice, I'd suggest trying to read doujins or just generally learn about a set amount of characters at one time. It helps to memorize them by their groupings of who they are close to or interact with, like what Nezchan suggests above. I know seeing all of the pairings on the Touhou page is pretty intimidating, but don't worry about it too much.

It's so weird to see Miko being taller than Byakuren.

Anyways, actual thoughts on the first chapter! Honestly without this being tagged as yuri I would've thought that this would be the typical vampire romance manga with Rin and Yuunagi. However, I'm fairly confident that this particular story won't play out like that - for one thing, Matsumoto Tomoki wrote this and I really loved Prunus Girl so I'm pretty sure this will be nice too. I'll be looking forward to how this develops.

Also, the story itself has been atypical in Yuunagi's reaction to becoming a vampire, with her nonchalance (so far, at least) and the mood's light atmosphere. Another thing I like is that even though it's a comedy, the story seems like it could easily get more serious later on, and I really do love good Dramedies. Like, it's a more light-hearted take on a vampire story without it seeming like a completely crack-ish story. Does that make sense?

If I remember correctly, not all vampires have that trait, same as how not all vampires are allergic to garlic or whatever. It really just depends on the writer.

While I do find this whole thing (but especially Yoshika) adorable, I can't help but feel a bit sad about their relationship in general. Even when it's super light-hearted and cute like its portrayed here, I always wonder about how much of it is Yoshika's true affection for Seiga and how much is just part of her being controlled by Seiga, and how long it could last. Even here, there's the implication that Yoshika's brain is rotting further with Seiga mentioning how it took her longer to remember.

I still like the pairing nonetheless. Dark Fluff is nice too. Also I'm probably reading into this WAY too much.

I have the raws for the whole series if anyone is interested. One volume long. I like this short series a lot for some reason.

That ending was so casual it was great. Really there were lots of great one-liners in this entire work.
