The swapping is a function, a device to get the two characters closer and see things from a perspective they couldn't. It's an excuse for them to kiss and rely on each other.
The moment you force in other girls to that equation you upset the balance and the point of the story. If you view swapping as a bond between two people, quite similar to a relationship, adding more partners means breaking that bond and having a third wheel. The other pairs that can swap have all become lovers, they have been loyal to each other only. Haruko and Natsuko have not reached that place yet. Natsuko in particular is always in denial. Unless the new swap partners are only there to reinforce that indeed, Natsuko likes Haruko, they are pointless and just muddle the idea.

This is really good. It's quite surprising how grounded the story is in many of the real life aspects (not so much in the stuff between Hime and Mina). The only Age Gap I can stand is the type where the younger one pursues the older, so this is fine, although I think it shouldn't work out. There are too many bad layers to this relationship (large age gap, daughter of former crush etc.). I'm sure they could find different lovers, but it's not too serious right now anyway.

Honestly, those moments when Mina talked to Yae or loathes herself for seeing Hime as a replacement hit me pretty hard. The manga gives very good reasons for why this is a "test" more than anything else.

The end results: Probably a straight bisexual lesbian.
