I suspect the reason people (myself included, of course), panned this series for ages is because we were reading it as it was coming out. Again, the unapologetic crappy dorama is something that I now enjoy with this work, and if the series started out like that, I doubt many people would have complained. The issue arose precisely because of those first few chapters, which read markedly differently than the rest of the content and which set decidedly different expectations.

I can dig this. I guess a counter to this series would be a newer Kodama Naoko work. A bunch of predictable hand-wringing in the first few chapters and then as the crowd disperses a core audience is left around for real discussion. Expectations are a monster! Skimming the old thread, it also seems like Momono Moto working on this set higher expectations than it could hope to meet. That's a shame!

Yeah, of course. All artist submissions are welcome (though they will be evaluated the same as all other requests). Please just make some specific note that you are the artist of the work in question. Any form of verification is nice too, as it saves us time doing that ourselves, and protects us from any unfortunate accidents.

Awesome. I would recommend anything by Shinoasa, very strong themes of romance and immortality. Eternity Crying Bird and Moon River (included on the same page) are very epic and explore the relationship between Kaguya and Mokou (and various others) in significant detail. Koge Masaki does a certain flavour of expressive comedy that I really enjoy, it is comedy though! It's been way too long for me to recommend too much of my very-dated favourites list beyond these, but there's a lot there already, I hope!

One is that I have a lot of tags in the "without tags" bar, but the problem is, works containing these tags will still come up! It's (I think) because it's looking through chapter by chapter and thus even if the work contains something I'm not interested or comfortable with, if one chapter doesn't have that tag the work will still appear. Is there a way to change this?

That is an excellent catch, and not something that's ever been pointed out, to my knowledge! Just to be clear, you're referring to the advanced search page with parameters like this:

That then bring up a result The Feelings We All Must Endure, which upon further inspection has several NSFW chapters, like so:

Ideally, the series should be excluded from your search, correct? (Noting for anyone who reads: the lack of chapter-series tag filtering exists regardless of boxes checked or unchecked.)

Also would it be possible to have tag for underage characters? I have seen a lot of 18+ material with characters that are said to be under 18. It would be really nice to have a specific tag for that, please.

It's roundabout for now, and not fully supported (especially on older content), but you may exclude the following tags to (hopefully) limit your exposure to underage characters: School girl, School life and Lolicon. We're likely to have a different system for this at some point in the future, but there are tens of thousands entries to update. So, it may be a while before there is a cleaner solution. My apologies for the trouble.
