The "traditional" portmanteau coupling name is "AnaPomu", where Ana dates back to before Yu was named and had to be referred to as "anata", and Pomu is an alternate character reading of Ayumu's name (like how Hanayo/Rin is KayoRin).

It's supposedly because of the similarity between a necklace and a collar, fwiw.

(Though it makes me recall the anime Sketchbook ~Full Colors~ and the running gag of Kate, the Canadian transfer student, writing clearly wrong kanji for things.)

It comes across as SIFAS-ish — I mean, with them as the same age, rather than Eli being an older legend.

(I'm reading Dia's reaction here as a mix of let-down at her idol's lack of untouchability — quite literally — and outwardly-directed self-hatred, for "defiling" her.)

I'm not sure how I feel about chocolate ramen, but RinPana is sweet.

It feels oddly charming and intimate for Rin to suggest a half-serving for Hanayo — as if with anybody else she'd say something like, "If you don't eat the whole thing you're insulting the ramen!" but with Hanayo she understands her unstated concerns.

(I'm kind of fond of the ship, in a weird way. They have a good vibe in their canon interactions, and Koume's ability to inflict terror smooths out a little of the power imbalance. My headcanon of a relationship would be Koume with a crush she isn't sure what to do with, and Ryo mostly trying to be a friend but also not knowing what to do.)

(I always thought they had a fun dynamic, but didn't start seriously shipping them until watching the "Ankira!? Kyousoukyoku" story from Starlight Stage — Anzu actually doing work, of her own volition, because she wants Kirari to be happy? Swoon.)

There really is an overload of idols named /Ri+na?/, yeah. There's these three, Love Live has a Rin and a Rina, Aikatsu has a Rin... BanG Dream has a Rinko, but both it and Aikatsu have a Ran, which may Mean Something. Further research is obviously needed.

(I'm pretty sure there's one or two Cinderella Girls doujins here with Rina and Riina out together on a double date; it probably helps that Natsuki tends to call Riina "Darii", or there'd be more confusion.)

Presumably either Yu or Ayumu herself would be subbed in for Harry if there were more to this AU than what's here. Definitely cute, though, and I'm always glad to hear from Sasuke.

My personal headcanon is that the 4koma God of School Idols is Yuu.

Ok first of all, tongues are not cool.

She'd just taken a drink, and the drink had ice in it. It's not a "Oh, your tongue is always cold", it's "oh, your tongue has been cooled by your drink and is pleasant". (They're playing with ice cubes in practically the next frame.)

It's beautiful and sweet and delightful -- but I can't help but notice that approximately half the manga is taken up by Nico crying on the toilet.

ktk is why I believe Nijigaku should be one big poly-gon.

Oh, predicting Ayumu being jealous is easy -- even just in the anime up through episode 9, she's been visibly twitching every time Yuu calls someone cute or otherwise shows enthusiasm -- it can get worse in SIFAS (and I only know directly the world version, so through story chapter 18 and bonds through 20).

(I dearly love her bond chapter 19, where after an unspecified time of you/Yuu being too busy to walk home together, Ayumu actually follows her and bursts in on her meeting with someone, accusing her of cheating on everybody with a new school idol.)
