I had no idea that the Skytree is an actual thing and thought they were talking about visiting an actual giant fantasy tree for the longest time. But this works too.
Saburuta isn't very strong with chemistry developing, like we can see with Mei and Yuzu, but Harumin and Matsuri don't just have zero chemistry, but negative. At least in my eyes.
Certainly the recent Mei-Yuzu chemistry has been non-existent, but to me the crackling initial sexual chemistry between the two of them was the strongest thing the series ever had going for it (along with some pretty decent, although inconsistent, art/visual storytelling).
Once Mei transformed from Volatile Sexy Mei to Repressed Sincere Mei, all that went away, of course.
I'd be tempted to say that Sabu doesn't know what to do when sexual tension gets resolved, but the Harumin/Matsuri pairing seems like Matsuri trying to create sexual tension and Harumin declining to participate.
That's just what happens when you are replaced with a emotionless hunk of steel and metal.
I have also never really been sold on the Matsuri x Harumin pairing but if it means my girl can finally fucking be allowed to do something and not just be regulated to the background than I'm for it 100%
In my mind this chapter was more satisfying than any slap Akira deserved
For her to first get hit with the fact that she never actually cared about how Rin actually felt in the first place to right after that be hit with the fact that Mayuki is not only a legend at kissing but she's been gunning for Akira this whole time.
Yeah I dunno
I mean it was nice getting Shiho's perspective and I sympathize with her a lot but like...
It's been two years of no contact and you suddenly show up out of thin air and want things to just go back to the way things were
Like I think that's the definition of too little too late
Miwa and Saeko's relationship is so bed of daises but I want them to stay together and actually confront their fears and be honest with each other for once.
After having reread it I now see it as a fitting ending to the series
I think the mistake I made was thinking this was going to be a long running series when this was only centered around the death of the sister and Bazu finding her purpose
Also, wow Itou Hachi really rotted you lots brains
I feel for you.
These mangas where both of them love each other but don't communicate that fact DRIVE ME MAD.
I get being shy/unsure but jeeze.
Do cute stuff, make this withered heart flutter dammit!
Tbh it makes sense here, it's not like they've been friends for a while, they're literally at the start of their story, and it's a cute af start.
What bums me out about these stories is that I'll never see the middle and the end.
I reread this series and I have to say I like it even more now since i could read it in one go and not have to wait until next month to find out if she was finally gonna fucking tell her
