As bullshit I mean her returning to that asshole. She should ditch him anyway. She didn't learn anything during that one night.

I know, that's why I said it's pretty realistic. She got swept up by her feelings, but after the 'safe zone' was gone, she couldn't do what was necessary, or at least, people who resist that much don't get their head on straight so to speak.

I assume the author left it open ended so that each reader can think of his/her own ending to the story, but when you know how a person acts when they behave like Malena did (for people with experience, or have friends like that (which I have one, and I fortunately persuaded another one so it didn't become two)), there's only one ending to that, and considering how her friends behaved, well, she doesn't have someone to help her.

By the by, 'The Handmaiden' or 'Ah-ga-ssi' has been out for a while and it seems it's been in various cinemas and not only Korean ones. Cause it's a Korean adaptation of 'Fingersmith'. It looks like there's some torture towards the end, according to some reviews. But it's been pretty well received otherwise

The thing is though, the shounen-ish mangas do 'relationships' like Yuri x Nise as fanservice almost every time and at the end, one or two of the girls get together with the/a guy, and if there is gonna be definitive yuri, almost always, there's a very aggressive girl that is pursuing one of the girls, but even then, it's just for the sake of it.

So, you have your opinion and I have my opinion ;)

And at the end of the volume... photographer lady tries to push herself onto Mikoto. However, Mikoto makes it super clear that her love belongs to Sayuri, and Sayuri only. Photographer lady does not take no for an answer and forces a kiss on Mikoto, which Sayuri witnesses... aaand cliffhanger ensues.

Got the feeling that we will have a serious story in VOLUME 4.. Since I think that Mikoto will be in trouble if Sayuri hates her.. Especially now that Sayuri see it..

I'm more realistic (cynical) in regards to yuri because I prefer non-subtext stuff, so when people talk about stuff that is only hinting, I like to 'warn' them. Then again, someone would say that I'm just an asshole, but whatever. Point is, never get your hopes so high that you wreck your pc/tablet/phone when you get disappointed, because you will be missed D: For a few days at least.

I finally got round to reading Tenkuu Shinpan and in my professional opinion as a doctor of yuri, they are pretty gay for eachother.

I wouldn't make such concrete statements, cause at the end, it may be revealed one or both of them have had fianceé's since the start and they just forgot to mention it and then they get married and have 10 kids each.

I'm joking. Mostly.

I'm late as heck to this but I just realized that FLCL is getting 12 new episodes starring a girl. Setting aside the possibility that they might screw it up terribly, and that Haruko is more of an "unrequited love" type person, I wonder if there's some yuri potential there.

I guess you forgot how Haruko just used the guy in the first season because she wanted to get back to the person she was in love with. Who was a man. Don't know why you'd expect something happy out of it. Goofy, sure, but not a happy ending. Also, who's to say they won't reverse it? Haruko is gonna become the male equivalent of her or something.

But it’s a good theory, though. The whole “humans are bad code”-idea kinda indicates that she hasn’t met a lot of nice people in her life until then.

True it was a gimmick, but from a psychologists point of view, the way she tried to calm/appease Finch was text book 'child raised by an alcoholic', that's what I meant, and the show has been pretty consistent with their characterization of 'deviations from the normal' so to speak. Like with Shaw. They didn't make her all clingy and sappy like probably a lot of writers would've done, but stuck to her diagnosis. I forget if Root was diagnosed in the asylum, but crazy fits her perfectly, and she's adorable like that xD

Whatever happened with the theory that Root was brought up by an alcoholic parent? What do you guys think about that? Considering the first time Root kidnapped Finch, some people said how she placated him after she subdued the guy who was beating on her was akin to a person who grew up with an alcoholic parent, and how people described her when she was young 'weird and alone' or something like that.

Which is why it always horrifies me when I see people shipping Root and Finch. I mean, I guess you can't choose the pairings that give you warm and fuzzy feelings, but Root traumatized Finch so badly the first few times they met there's no way he would ever have been able to move past that completely. Even in the end, he never fully trusted her. Het shippers weird me out sometimes.

They must be thinking the same of us xD

But yeah, I really can't see Root and Shaw being with anyone besides each other for a lengthy relationship. Shaw is the one-night stand type and maybe the occasional call to someone who she's had really good sex with, but Root wore her down xD

Yet another arranged marriage? Awesome. Though she is telling the truth, she doesn't have a boyfriend.
