@Shador why are you assuming it WILL go yuri? seems unlikely for a gundamn doesn't it? Or it will hint around it then kill one or both of them off probably.. i wont get my hopes up.

I love seeing what her uncle and his 2 old rocker friends all used to look like when they were young :) (early 20s seems?)

p.s shouldnt the title be Someone's going to GO blind? Or maybe someone's going to be blinded?

Somehow I missed checking this out. I generally dislike ghost/girl romance stories- after all, there is only 2 ways to end it- and both kinda suck lol.

Ok, so there's a third where they get together but can't interact- but that would be pretty lame too.

There's always the "they were only half dead and in a coma" ending.

I forgot about that option lol- I suppose thats the best possible ending for a ghost story- tho it would mean she wasn't really a ghost more some kinda astral projection or disconnected soul.

I love that Oosawa-san STILL sees her as a crush and is just as effected by her.. They might start as friends but I can't see them not moving beyond that if she doesn't get over being smitten by her lol.

Nobody who was reading this would expect anything of the sort. It would have been as out of place as aliens invading. Even if done off screen.
We just wanted them to end together, and they sure did. It was a super happy yuri ending, given what we know of them.

That was wonderful. Great at humor, great at drama. From everything I saw, I think it was the best and only work that depicted developing feelings between a teenager and an adult in a non grooming way. I was hoping twenty five twenty two would do that too, but it didn't. Thank you to everyone involved in the translation/edition of this. So was 'Sunflower' a real nickname or they just used so we could identify the characters??

Yes, miss sunflower was the nickname of Shiori AND the last owner of the store- everybody called her it for the entire series. The last 2 women to own the store both became known that because the book store is called 'the sunflower bookery'. It makes sense all the customers who don't know their first names would come to call them 'miss sunflower' and then that nickname would spread to their friends.

lol- neither first nor are they 'just roommates' the amount they love each other is incredible and made constantly obvious especially in the last few volumes. And miss sunflower asking Matsuri to live with her is actually the same as asking her to marry! I mean for this character, it couldnt be a bigger deal!

The same situation or comment has vastly different meanings depending of circumstance and who says it- you dont know that basic fact right? Only somebody who has never read this series- or did so with no understanding of the characters, could think they were just gonna be roomies and it meant nothing beyond like a regular roomies situation.

Asking her that was WAAY more meaningful than a kiss would have been!

@XadarxBlack You couldnt be more wrong- nor more foolish to relate your friends to Miss sunflower and Matsuri. The same situation is utterly different here. You don't understand them at all.

^I dont see how one could claim it was about nothing and had no progress lol- unless you were lazer focused on just 100% confirmed to be romantic/sexual yuri and ignored all the rest. There was HUGE amounts of progress. and it was about TONS of things. I feel sorry for people who have such a narrow focus - or want to bend everything to fit their focus and consider anything outside that a failiure. Even such a beautiful sotry as this one, where matsuri's love rescues Shiori- and she fully returns it.

^ I agree - tho not my childhood- im too old for that - but i was in my 20's when i started reading it- so 'young'-ish, and by now, in my early 50's, i'd class as 'old'-ish lol.

Miss Sunflower and Matsuri are 2 of my all time fav yuri characters and the wonderful art and 'feel' of the manga are unique.

The sadness hit me again when I saw my email notification from Dynasty for miss sunflower 107 [end].. that I wont get any more :(

p.s I always thought if we ever found out miss sunflowers real name it would seem odd and not fit her- but Shiori actually suits her very well imo. We have never heard her surname right? (I know kuroizato is her brothers pen name not surname).

p.p.s I wonder what Kanji Shiori uses? Im gona guess its the one that can be read as 'bookmark'.

Wow- i got all emotional on finishing this series- i've been reading of for so long- like half my life! I kinda can't believe it's over!

It was a wonderful series - and ended more or less how I thought it would- but even more satisfying! I expected Matsuri would start working there- but I DIDNT guess we'd Miss sunflowers name, or that Shiori would invite Matsuri to live with her once she graduated!

Thats such a huge deal for miss sunflower- I can't see it as anything but a life long commitment between the 2- wether it develops romantically or not - tho i also can't see it NOT going toward romance, however slowly- just give it 2-5 more years :)

This has potential… to be a success or a minefield. I’m interested to see how cosplay is tolerated over there.

Japan is the birthplace and home of cosplay - it is far more common there than anywhere else!
Tho im sure none otaku still sometimes look down on adults who still do it, most of the time i doubt its a big deal.

@Pyoro Im fairly sure its been all drawn in an art package like manga studio etc, it does give it a slight stiff look, tho I personally still like the art. Maybe its the thicker than average outlines?

Tbh it could go either way with this manga- tho I feel if she says she is fine as they are, i'd find it rather unsatifying.

Not normally a furry fan (no hate, just not my thing) but this was really friggen cute.

Same. It's a demerit a story has to overcome for me, not a deal breaker- just something Im not into- but this was very cute and I look forward to reading more - also i like the art style.
