It's really hard to find boys who are seriously into the genre. When I mention yuri to my friends they look at me like I had mentioned lesbian porn or something, and some others would respond like "Yea, that shit's hot!". I mean, I didn't mean lesbian porn, I was talking about the romance! I think boys yawn over girl's romance but get hyped up when they watch or read an ecchi yuri work. I can't imagine a boy who isn't seriously invested in the genre would enjoy reading yuri manga like Kase-san or Girl Friends for an example. Idk much about girls, but I think they are generally more into romance than boys, and that's why there are more girls who read yuri than boys.

I was actually surprised at first when I had discovered that girls are into yuri more than boys when I first discovered the genre. I had totally thought it was the other way round.

If only someone had told me that the author of this series was gay af, I wouldn't have worried over them being canon or gave up on the idea of them being a couple at the end of season 3, but then again, I should've seen it coming with the two gay dads and Netossa and Spinrella.

This is originally a comedy manga, and I think that romance would kinda tone down the comedy. I do hope that they end up together in the end, but I'm not in a rush.
