Agree with Mauser on this one. I much prefer Sayaka as the top in their relationship.

I'm kinda sad that's been nearly 3 months without updates and no one has at least pick it up from Yuri Ichigo

Maybe because the series has been licensed? I hope somebody takes it and continues traslating it, but it doesn't seem this will happen soon.
It's sad for me because I don't think Futaribeya get licensed in latin america any time soon so I can buy it locally.

Futaribeya has been licensed since long ago, and Yuri Ichigo has been scanlating it still after that, and since other manga that are also being scanlated by Yuri Ichigo suddenly stopped coming here too, I think something else is amiss.

OK, even if you take into account the fact that I was waiting for the season to be completed so I could start watching and that I even said so in the Anime Season thread, I am still pretty late (dammit school, OneTopic and Famana) on watching episode 1. Not nearly as dark as the og series (yet) but there are some signs. That said, since they've grown to one of the two leading contenders for my favourite MagiReco ship over the preceeding weeks, this episode really made me wonder how did Iroha and Yachiyo go from that quasi-tense first meeting to giving off that "married couple with adopted children" vibe mentioned in some of the image comments. (Don't spoil it, please).

EDIT:
Oooh, boy. Quite the heart wrenching ending did episode 2 have, huh. Not even MadoMagi had a character die the very episode they're introduced. That is, unless deathbait is a thing in MagiReco, which, while plausible, seems quite unlikely to me (who am yet to watch episodes 3 through 13).

EDIT:
Wait, so it actually was deathbait? Man, I guess some optimism, with such a franchise, is needed on part of the viewers. Anyways, can't wait to find out more. The plot is certainly interesting.

EDIT:
The plot thickens!

EDIT:
WTF was that?! What happened with Iroha and Kaede in episode 5 isn't normal, either for magical girls or witches!

EDIT:
The information given in episode 6 certainly makes connecting the dots easier.

EDIT:
That whole Order of Magius thing feels extremely cult-like to me. But at least we got to see the MCs' new family grow. They adopted their first daughter! I'm also surprised that the Amane twins are part of the enemy. Now I gotta wonder if Kyouko is gonna pass the information she has to Mami.

EDIT:
Cult-like? Yes. But I never said they don't have strategic astuteness. That Amane knew to flee a lost battle without using up resources that could be more useful/crucial later.

EDIT:
First: How come there are no Ai x Sana fanarts or doujins. Second, and on a more personal note: Does it count as crying if only a scant few droplets make it barely past the eyelashes? Because if it does, this may be the first time I've cried in almost half a year.

EDIT:
To think there would be Wings of the Magius that would be seen as too extreme by even their fellow wings... Sheeesh... Also, I didn't expect Mami to join them... That's... a shock...

EDIT:
This is getting increasingly complex.

EDIT:
OK, so now I understand what the fuck happened to Iroha... twice, and also how the Magius want to achieve their goals, which... OK, I see, but could you do it in a way in which you don't use witches to your purposes? Plus, the startified, authoritarian, hierarchical nature of the order just rubs me the wrong way... Also, this isn't how I imagine salvation... Ugh, this makes the original MadoMagi series and the Rebellion movie much easier to process in comparison...

EDIT: Those last few minutes are a bit too hard to process. Guess there's a good reason season 2 was announced, since season 1 ended on a cliffhanger - figuratively, but also almost literally. But, as a mapper, I have taken the "hope is the last thing that dies" trope seriously, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Iroha (what with being the main character and all) survived. Can't let Yachiyo break down, afterall.
Hope season 2 features more of the magical girls of the original series and Rebellion (maybe even the MagiReco versions of Sayaka and Kyouko following in the footsteps of those of Rebellion). Also, I'm eagerly awaiting the intoduction of a certain 2 MagiReco ships that are popular but didn't show up (well, one of them had each have some sorta cameo, but still). Hooooooh~... there are so many good and bad directions it can go from here.

Love triangle, but a very awkward one.

It's not a love triangle. Asahi doesn't love Subaru that way.

I don't think Subaru likes Asahi in that way either.

I've gone tired of seeing the Timeline of Famana page on the Famana Wiki incomplete, so I took it upon myself to do it on a daily basis. I'm happy announce that, today, I've covered the years 453 - 494, thus completing the Urbaxan Golden Ages section of the timeline and starting the Old Legends section of the timeline. https://famana.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline_of_Famana

EDIT 1:
Today (7th April) I've done the years 495 - 600. With this, the timeline of Famana is almost, but not quite halfway towards being done.

EDIT 2:
Today (8th April) I've done years 601 - 673, completing not only the Old Legends section of the timeline, but also the The Great Crushdown section of the timeline, entering pretty deep into the Age of Feudalism section of the timeline.

EDIT 3:
Today (9th April) I've done years 674 - 732.

EDIT 4:
Today (10th April) I've done years 733 - 797, thus completeing the Age of Feudalism section of the timeline and entering the The Estali Spring section of the timeline.

EDIT 5:
Today (11th April) someone has done the years 798 - 853, though, due to some mistakes they've made, I had to edit some of them. Thus they completed the The Estali Spring section of the timeline. I continued further, up to the year 900, completing the Urbaxan Dark Age section of the timeline and entering the Age of Discovery part of the timeline.

EDIT 6:
Today (12th April) my colleague made the years 901 - 961, and I've corrected whatever mistakes they've made. They have completed both the Age of Discovery part of the timeline and the The Great Events of West Antebar section of the timeline, and entered well into the Age of Enlightenment part of the timeline. I added years 962 - 1054, thus completing the Age of Enlightenment, the Age of the Enlightenment and Connection, the The Eastern Spring, the The Eastern Spring + Industrial Revolution and the Industrial Revolution sections of the timeline.

EDIT 7:
Today (13th April) my colleague made the years 1054 - 1090, and I've corrected whatever mistakes they've made. They have completed the First World War / Great Estali War section of the timeline and entering well into the Rise of Ideologies part of the timeline. I added years 1091 - 1111, thus completing the Rise of Ideologies part of the timeline.

EDIT 8:
Today (14th April) my colleague made the years 1112 - 1120, and I've corrected whatever mistakes they've made. They have completed the Second World War / First Ideological War part of the timeline and entering the Era of Ideologies part of the timeline. I added years 1121 - 1147, thus completing the Era of Ideologies part of the timeline.

EDIT 9:
Today (15th April) I've done years 1148 - 1225, thus completing the Third World War / Second Ideological War part of the timeline and the Modern Famana part of the timeline.

EDIT 10:
Today (16th April) I've done years 1226 - 1252, thus completing the Fourth World War / "War of Peace" part of the timeline, the Fourth World War / "War of Peace" + Third Amatan-Yomtan War part of the timeline and the Famanan Sunset part of the timeline.

I don't understand why you had to mention he's cis and het. Saying he's left-wing is honestly only fine, because we're talking about politics. Also I saw that video already.

I mentioned it mostly because, at least to my memory, he himself mentioned it in his video.

YarnGirl posted:

Government expected to indefinitely delay plans to make it easier for people to change their gender legally

I hate my government:

“Boris Johnson just doesn’t want that fight,” the source said. “We just won’t talk about it." The delay is not related to the coronavirus epidemic.

The "the reforms could make it easier for men to claim they are trans in order to gain access to female-only spaces." argument never really made sense to me. They often use it against trans people using toilets matching their gender. Like, do government really expect all men suddenly pretending to be trans and going into girls' lockers etc? Other than mentally ill, no respecting guy would pull that shit. Like, what would they even gain by it? The only 2 reasons I can think off is trying to pick up girls and harass/peek on them. First would immediately backfire as I can't imagine any girl wanting to date asshole like that and second, I assume you'd still need to officially change your gender and/or you'd need to actually stick to the act to pull it off, so good luck pretending to be a woman in work or wherever you want to do it, totally worth the hassle. Like sure, there will be cases of someone trying to exploit it, but that happens with everything and no law can stop it. As always, people using a incredibly small chance of something happening as argument to not change/change something, making infinitely bigger number of people suffer, because of some elusive bogeyman.

I remember watching a video on Transphobia in the UK by British cis het left-wing dude Shaun, where he made an amazing analogy for how transphobic arguments work near the end of the 35-minutes-long video. The entire video is a great watch, but it's especially that part that's worth checking out. It's from somewhere around the 28:30 to somewhere around 30:00 marks, but I'd still recommend watching the whole video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91_5OOmK1TQ

The comparison that I'm about to make will be very weird and also very subjective, but reading this is like eating grilled trout with only bread and topsy cheese as the side - good and enjoyable, but not so much compared to - depending on wether I'd just drop the pretense or continue the weird metaphor - some other yuri or some other trout recipes.

BV, you've always been a dab hand at the subjective analogies, but this one may make you the all-time "King of the Subjective Analogies That No One Else Understands in the Slightest But Which Give an Intriguing Glimpse Into an Alien But Not-Uninteresting Mental Landscape."

Time to go Google "topsy cheese" . . .

Lol thanks. As an aside, would you be interested in my favourite trout recipe?

Everytime I'm browsing the forum page and see the word "succubus" I just hear Cyana from PM Seymour's Tumblr Binge Compilations shouting it in a simultaneously cute and demonic way, and it's driving me crazy in several different ways. But mostly comedic.

^^ That being said, though, after re-reading my post history on this site (yes, really) earlier this week, I got reminded of a prediction last year thay I knew was wrong even before I made it, but now think it would make for a great doujin (it's YagaKimi related, and I think I reposted that in Dynasty Café recently).

^ I just do it because it's fun. Mine being anarchists should be enough indication that I want money (amongst other things) abolished eventually. Like, at a distant point in the future kinda way, you get me? You know, like Star Trek, but less statist and even more democratic.
