Nooo I loved the original and it's great that we get to see two different stories play out regardless if this one will follow the ending of the original or not. They both have their charms and the original really was a nice change in pace from the usual stuff we get.

Agreed. I won't get mad if this goes a different way but I did like the original as it was.

Wish there was more. She was pretty much created as gay if not bi but it seemed to be toned down as they went along. I think the forum on srk went ahead and called her section "gay spider" or maybe "bi spider" or something.

While I love yuri and the show rwby there wasn't a single pair that ever appealed to me. This on is only now starting to grow on me.

May have finally found one thing I don't hate about love triangles. Technically. Its at least cannon material that one of the three had an additional admirer and option. Something to work fan fics and fan Art of. Of course people don't need much(or anything at all in the case of crack pairings) but its still nice to have, I would think.

I was right about that girl not being all that bad. She's actually pretty interesting too.

This story is good. Wish there were more like it. Well there might be, I may just not be seeing them.

As for translation stuff. I'm just happy I get to read stuff at all. Never gonna complain no matter how much you scanlators might want me too!

I tried to learn Japanese. Yesh! It was rough. I was told it was better to learn to speak it before stirring it, otherwise you end up with a heavy accent, but I didn't even get very far.

no no no there'll be no who's "top" and who's "bottom" here, that's yaoi nonsense. and one of the things i like about yuri, because it's hardly brought in here. it is one of the stupidest things imo. on avg there is no top or bottom for people, just what you're in the mood for, and silly to try and define someone by it. who initiates it is something that can be debated, but that doesn't mean "well that's my role in sex now, that's the only way to do it from here on." like, i can see yuu initiating it, cause sempai is too afraid to do something yuu wouldn't want, but once it's done the first time, touko would be more than happy to start it, given the green light so to speak.

on another note, really happy it's not stopping and ending on their hooking up like almost every other yuri out there

I also hate this terminology but it probably serves some propose. Short hand for what readers hope for when/if a story covers such things, I guess?

You say its not seen much in yuri but I've seen it here often and even used to describe a Netflix original show featuring lesbians.

Just another one of those things will irk some people and not others I think. Like how it iritates me when people talk about stories causing diabetes or combing the names of celebrities that are dating. And with ships Not saying don't do these things. Don't let my grumpy arse ruin your fun.

I was always, and still am, terrible at socializing except in my case it was pretty much intentional. ^^;

I didn't get formally diagnosed with Asperger's till about nine years ago. Up to that point, it was just three+ decades of "WTF how come this crap comes naturally to everyone but me? ARGH HOW DO I PEOPLE?!". Now it's been four decades, and I can people a lot better than I did in my teens and twenties--even thirties--by virtue of far too much experience via my attempts to be social "crashing and burning in front of my eyes". The road to get to this point was dark and full of terrors... the memories of awkward moments that will forever haunt my dreams at night... lol.

Well I'm really glad you got through it. I'm still working on hang ups centered around a-social and misanthrope like beliefs.

Not really liking this. The relationship is too one-sided. Adachi is head over heels but Shimamura only considers her a friend. That might change at some point but in the meantime this thing is pretty boring. Not entirely sure why I like this so much. I actually have a bad track record with slice of life anime/manga too. I watched a lot and didn't like the majority of them.

I'm glad she didn't do the kiss and how she thought that she would rather be the one kissed seems more her character also.

Well, that, and, yannow, consent is sexy, I'm glad Adachi figured that out. "How the kiss came to happen mattered.". Gettin' smooched by your "friend" while you're sleeping and thus unable to say "aye" or "nay" is more than a tad creepy and insensitive.

Plus that particular trope has been overused IMO. Too many authors who can't figure out how to progress a relationship logically to the destination they want with the characters and situations they've developed, so resort to drastic (and usually kinda dumb) measures. It's not quite on par with the "running to school with a piece of toast hanging out of the mouth" or "accidentally run into someone who is also running and we both turn the same corner and OOPS WE KISSED" tropes that have been used to death... but still, overused.

I remember feeling that way about a few stories a while back . . .
