that´s sperm donation thing disturbing me .____. but it´s ok if arisa is happy

Don't really see how.

From what I've heard it's rather common for same-sex couples to start a family using donated sperm & surrogate's using IVF technology. It's not even isolated to same-sex couple's they're just the most obvious case.

But as I recall, IVF technology in Japan is reserved for hetero couples, so they would have to resort to more DIY methods.

Wow I commend her mental fortitude for keeping a cool face even with all those advances, I would've melted

Hehe, I came to comment the exact same thing.

It's amazing how Yoshiko keeps her act together (cool facade, cool attitude, perfect answers, everything) while inside she's squeeing like a schoolgirl and her heart is in a whirlwind of emotions.

Even if there's a bit of copy/paste going on, I feel like it's been used brilliantly to highlight that cool façade of hers. Been a while since I've been so quick to add something to me favorites.

Tag ideas:
Mistaken Gender is a fairly common premise.
Homophobia for stories dealing with that.

While I could see Mistaken Gender being useful in some cases, I could also see it being quite contentious, especially where trans characters are involved. Plus, it's likely to get rejected in cases where it would be a spoiler. (I'd expect a lot of overlap with Tomboy, too.) A tag like that would need clear guidelines for when it should or shouldn't be used, IMO. Possibly useful; possibly troublesome. But that's just my thoughts.

@Topic: Could we finally see some more genuine self-realization from Hino soon?

OK, from my pov these two have obviously been gaga for one another from very early in the series, and at some fundamental level they each know that about themselves, but neither one quite realizes/is ready to acknowledge that the other one feels the same way. In other words, they’re both incredibly thirsty but each believes that the other one doesn’t drink.

Aka: Idiot Couple

Daaaaaaw Hino trying to act all Chad but still blushing like crazy is all sorts of adorable ! She really cares for her little bear ^_^

Having spent nine years in school with someone named Chad, the only thing this term evokes is the image of someone who farts loudly in public then cracks jokes about it. At first I thought people were using it to describe someone clingy that you can't seem to get rid of (as in a "hanging chad"), but that doesn't seem to be the case.... Is "Chad" meant to be a good thing?

All that said, bad cliffhanger. Bad.

Amen.

Also, sorry for jumping back a chapter, but why has no one heard of taking a teaspoon of granulated sugar to stop hiccups? I'd never heard of drinking water or holding your breath until I moved to the U.S., and I gotta say, neither of those are half as effective.

^ ^ ^ Exactly!

Although, I suppose there's a fine line between wanting to make someone happy and wanting to repay them for making you happy. But her comment about no one else wanting to date someone like her shows that she still has a long way to go in accepting herself. In ways, this series is kind of painfully realistic. It really feels like they are finally moving toward confession. To their friends, that is.

Well, finally caught up, and I'm enjoying. Thanks for all the work Daphie! Like @Peribee said: "Anything [het] that makes it to dynasty is almost guaranteed to be unusually good"

If I had one story criticism, it would have to be the overused chivalrous (read: macho) "I want to be able to protect her" comment. I'm okay if things go in a romantic direction, but after his realization, I really would have preferred if his feelings had taken more of a "care for" route. But we'll see where things go.

Suggestion: On the Forums page, it always gives links to the discussion pages "1 2 3 ... [latest]". I'm not really sure why I'd ever want to randomly revisit page 2 or 3, but I often go to the latest page then have to go back one or two pages to catch up. Would it make more sense to offer links to page "1 ... [last 3]"?

when I was little, I always dreamed of being a wizard. But I couldn't fly on a broom.

Real talk. Who else here tried to fly after watching DBZ?

Superman (1978) for me. Thought all it took was a cape. (Thanks to Mom's intuition for pulling me back in through the window before I could leap.)

Edit: As a parent, I strongly empathize with Edna Mode.

…to unnecessarily take up more space, did… did Shijima's sister actually just die…?

Maybe, but it's also possible she's illustrating some point about the metaphysics of their world

I figured the dreamer was trying to stop her from revealing too much.

Isn't SSM still not allowed in Japan?

yeh, but they could just do a ceremony without all the legal stuff I guess? I've seen couples who do that before.

To me, her comment on the first page about not being in the family register (i.e., no legal stuff), and the vague description she gave of her lover, implied that it was likely not a guy. Everything after that felt really confusing as a result, so thanks to @Kirin-kun for the research.

Isn't there an anthology of stories about the transition from Heisei to Reiwa? Can't find it for some reason.

Probably not it, but I'm reminded of Hyper Kettle Yesterday's Just You and I.

Yep, that was it. Even had it in my Favorites list. Never would have remembered that title, though. Thanks!

(And yes, this was cute.)

It's so cute how by the time they're in their 70s, it's Emi who's picked up the habit of adding "Mr." to store names.

Does anyone else think there's a similarity to this couple?

Discovered this 5 years late, and that couple (from 2008?) was still the first thing that leaped to mind when I saw this.

For video games, I can think of Dragon Age (especially with Leliana's backstory) and Guild Wars 2 (an MMO which depicts the growth and evolution of a relationship between Marjory and Kasmeer over the course of several seasons). Not sure if you specifically wanted Japanese video games.

When it comes to anime and manga, I think it's pretty rare for something that isn't explicitly yuri to contain romantic f/f relationships. There's a few notable examples, such as Cardcaptor Sakura (a one-sided crush) and Sailor Moon. There are wiki lists that might be helpful, but it's hard to sift out the ones that might be considered yuri genre.

Since I struggle to keep track of the timeline, I started writing it down on paper, then decided to post it here instead:

  • Ch 1 - 2018 (85-ish)
  • Ch 2 - 1988 (55)
  • Ch 3 - 1969 (K36, M35)
  • Ch 4 - 1961 (28)
  • Ch 5 - continues 1961 forward to 1963 and back to 1961
  • Ch 6 - 1957 (23)
  • Ch 7 - 1949 (15-ish?)

Guessing the end is still 2-3 chapters out.

Hi every1! The manga I'm looking for is one where two high school girls talk about dreaming or seeing rice balls in anything that looks like triangles, then go to their school and meet thier friends and they help the first two to controls this rice-ball fever, but it gets out of control and the comedy and ecchi gets pretty ridiculous, in the end, they don't get cured..?.
I believe I have read it in this web but I can't find it here, nor my favs or the advanced search tool.
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Might be How to Open a Triangular Riceball

Nop, the manga I was talking about didn't look like a series, it was more like a oneshot I guess. And that series from the link doesn't look like it has YURI so, F.
Well, I still want to find that manga, but I can't remember the name, I just remember those few things about the story, and it have tags like COMEDY, ECCHI, What the F am I reading, but I can't find it here in the website.
Wish you all a nice day :)

Try this one

Jesus christ they haven't even kissed and she's inviting her over
God damn slow down, at least treat her to dinner first

I don't know what you're getting so flustered for; they've already gone all the way.
