I like Erika's maturity. She had an inferiority complex towards Aya but didn't let it drive her, she realized what Koto was going through and did what was best. And with her lines at the end, I'm sure she feels like a villain, but there's nothing wrong with her watching over Aya and Koto.

It's a bit strange because she's not the usual "helpful friend" that helps a relationship progress in most stories, but it might be because there isn't anything that can be done to help them.

Watch Aya and Koto break up so that Erika can open her legs for Koto! that is the only thing she cared about! and she is making it CLEARLY by this chapter, so yeah! i really hate Erika immaturity!

You can't fault authors for using a genre tag for their work as intended in the industry/region they operate in (and similarly ppl over here wo apply the same tags to works based on what the author uses, before it's finished). I understand being disappointed and all but honestly, this sounds like a you problem with how you manage your expectations regarding the genre.

Nothing in this manga was super bait-y in regards to a possible romantic relationship between the two leads, imho. There have been far more egregious examples of that in the past.

It makes me really happy that multiple people read Yuhki Kamatani's manga because I recommended it here :D That series is one of the rare ones I've sought out physical copies of to have displayed on my bookshelf because it means so much to me.

Here's hoping this manga can be half as good? The second chapter only establishing "this wasn't a one time quirk" is a little disappointing though, of course it wasn't a one time quirk or we wouldn't have a story, we just learned something we'd assume to be true already. Aren't there more interesting questions you could focus on with this story author-san?

Sometimes I wonder what people think "a story" is.
No romantic resolution = "nothing happened"? You'll find that a lot of things happened in this story.

It's like when I was reading Komi-san, and everyone and their dog was like "nothing ever happens in this manga" and I was like ... what the heck are you reading a manga about a girl who wants to make 100 friends for if you think her making friends is "nothing happening".

People don't seem to be able to appreciate a story without romance these days.

I don't really get all the people saying the new girl is nice. I have a little bit of sympathy for her situation, but it's pretty limited. I've never been that impressed by "Oh poor me I'm always number two"--do those people ever have any sympathy for the people further down? They do not, and she's no exception.
