I can't wait to see how they negotiate the rest of the world and we're going to have a whole volume of it. Chapter 4 has so much potential for that scene mirroring/revisiting stuff Nakatani likes. I want to see Yuu's mom's face after that bomb. We already know Rei is on her side and daddy is a pushover. Granny... I don't know. But grandparents are generally mostly above caring about the small stuff, especially when it's their grandchildren. Mom is the only hurdle.

Touko's parents will just be happy that she isn't trying to be Mio anymore and finally moved on. If a girlfriend helped her to stop hurting herself, then so be it.

(And I really wanna see Koyomi's reaction to being almost right about everything lol)

The scene with Midori and Manaka is probably the extra chapter for vol. 7, showing what they were up to during Touko and Sayaka's talk, so I wouldn't expect the main narrative to suddenly veer towards them.

No worries, their intense relationship has always been hidden behind a veil of obfuscation. That is what makes it so charming, and dare I say, subtle.

This is clearly a differing on what the author's intended definition of potion was, and nothing can be done about it. I'll say nothing further, because it's just a difference of opinion at this point.

There is no definition for potion in this universe that would make this not fit the drug category, but sure. Opinions. Let's leave it at that.

Yuu has never cried about anything in the story and apparently not even when she should have in the past either (like losing in the Softball matches). Thanks to being not emotionally invested enough in things she just does out of obligation or to help someone.
So if Yuu cries (for good or bad) because of her current situation with Touko, that would visually show that she has emotionally matured and truly invested herself in this beyond logic and denial.

When being able to cry is not a sign of cliche weakness, but of growth... I like it!

^I will let this weeks old prediction of mine do the talking. This is how I felt about it before and how I feel about it now.

I can only hope all other conflicts (Midori-san and Manaka-san’s relationship) get to be resolved until the last chapter.

Yeah I saw this as a reflection of the failed first confession. Same position, same raised feet, but completely different context. Where before she was desperately leaping to express these overflowing emotions against all better judgement, she now had already released the pressure during the repeated "I love you"s. So she could initiate the kiss without worry or doubts.

I think you are using semantics to justify a lost point. A love potion is a really strong aphrosidiac. This was not a love charm or a spell, it was clearly a potion made from ingredients and liquid. That is a drug, fictional or not. Therefore the drug tag applies. There is really no room for debate here unless you want to redefine the word drug.

understand people are desperate for yuri and especially finding a specific parring is hard, but man, I thought people have higher standards than this.

As I alluded to in the other thread, this only works because both partners clearly wanted it. There is tons of evidence to this, but most importantly Grea's lack of actual resistance. These two are already in love and this was a strong push. It wasn't very proper or emotionally satisfying, but it was still not anywhere near rape. Anne's intentions were wrong and her methods worse, but even Grea (in this doujin) seems to know why she did it and encouraged her subtly to do it in a better way next time.

Well, there it is. This really seems to be the only Manaria Friends doujin more or less, because I've seen it everywhere now.
The art is nice and the scenario not at all impossible, but love potions are always cheap. I personally always assumed that in Episode 7 where the potion appeared, Anne was merely messing with Grea.

Well I hope then your lover will also try to drug you without your knowledge and take advantage of you. But it's k because you want it, you're just too shy to make a move yourself and need someone to force themselves on you.

Did that happen in the doujin? - No! You can't know what would happen IF Grea had take the Drugs, maybe it's no effective, maybe Anne didn't intend to do something with the maybe drugged Grea....

It just gives me the feeling the author is stalling for time.

It's a well known technique of mangakas to slow down the pace and extend the publication time : side characters get more and more screen time and their romance is actually more fulfilling than the MC's, because a lot less is at stake. And it postpones the inevitable resolution of the main couple's romance.

That is definitely true. Personally I simply don't mind in this case. It was just particularly funny to see that kind of comment after the exact opposite having happened for once.

The pacing is certainly all over the place. Going from diary --> little broster stealing stuff and getting confronted --> diary again. That's so clunky. And then she just said I will tell you next time instead of just telling them right away. That'`s... really weak.

That aside though, whatever was yuri!Marika searching for? A secret portal to another world? lol

Little broster at the very least introduces some stakes towards the solution of letting both Marika's stay in the opposite worlds. With Kazami's reactions it's clear that she wants Marika to stay, but family and friends are still going to miss the old versions. Marika insists on returning and I can't fault her for it. At the very least she should have a way to say goodbye to her original family and cleanly break it off with whoever she was dating before.

It would also be interesting if they found a way to switch worlds whenever they want. That would probably be too easy though.

Oh jeez. Stopping the frame right before the kiss actually connects is not a good sign. With what Kuro said in the first half of the chapter I can get a rough picture of where this is going. She thinks romantic relationships are bothersome and prefers to have something more like really close family (because thats something she doesnt have with her father).
So when Miyabi understandably wants to go farther with it, Kuro might not be ready for it.

Of course I don't think that this will end badly in the long run. Kuro is still very childish and growing more emotionally mature will probably be her final arc in this story.

Oh and for the household of suffering, it's exactly as expected. Being in the same home during that situation is just unbearable. Even Reiichi had to notice. Uta leaving for the break is probably the best time to have things kick into gear. Her being away not only helps heighten the awareness of both of them to their desire to be together, but it might also show how bad momster really is.

Reiichi you big oaf... still waiting for you to actually do something for once.
