Doing a re-read of this, and wow I completely forgot that Hino-san smoked at all. Kinda gives it a slightly more adult vibe then the rest of the manga.

I'm glad I finally got around to finishing this. I guess it was only halfway through when I started it.
Koguma is so cute, it makes me blush... I'm sure she'll say 'Hino-san no baka' at their wedding too.

Not candy because you can see the smoke trail. Hino said it was a toy cigarette, but I don't know what kind of item that actually is.

Yeah that whole plot thread is definitely a bad inclusion, although for me it doesn't affect the reading experience too much because it's not very tied to other parts of the story and can be safely ignored.
