Didn't realize this is the name it was presented here.
The origin Japanese roumanji is "Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na" to Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai, which, roughly translates to "Expelled from the team of Brave* due to 'As if people like you can also defeat Demon Lord', how do I keep on living in the Capital"...

* I still have no idea how to translate Yuusha

The first time I read this work (comic then also LN) it's translated to Chinese (which is closer to the original Japanese title) and the name is so different from the English version I don't even know what keyword to search haha

That's interesting, I had heard in passing that the team aspect was part of the original title but I didn't realize the change was so major. I think I actually prefer the English name, because "Expelled/Exiled/Kicked From The Team" has become a quickly oversaturated sub-genre of...mixed quality in my opinion lol

Edit: I think this is the first anime adaption of a kicked from the party series with a female protag though? The male protag ones tend to not be to my liking, so that's why I have some mixed feelings with the sub-genre.

^ Yeah the time this work went out seems to be about the same time this specific sub-genre (expelled/betrayed by the team and ...) became popular, iirc. I didn't remember seeing any female protag ones except this, though.

And yes, many of those were basically trash. One of the work even have the protag committed genocide to an ethnicity for minor reasons and tried to justify it. Eye opening shit, I'd say, lol.
