What I meant was, how is this tag necessary? Just mentioning someone’s smell is enough to warrant this tag. Maybe it needs to be more specific?

Because 'sniffing' specifically is not always necessary for the smell tag to apply regardless (although it's certainly present in most cases...).

I am wondering about tags in manga sites like dynasty. Isn’t most tags are there because its a genre, warning, or sexual tags? Cmiiw. I thought this smell tag is similar to sexual tags, but from what I have seen in chapters tagged (small samples tho, my mistake), it just doesnt feel justified. Like the smell part was only there in passing

It's a fetish like any other, so it's a good tag to have in case someone wants to read a story with this element.

I don't see a problem with this tag, but I saw some of the chapters tagged is like this ^ so I surmised that most of the other chapters are also like that, so I thought, if this tag is just about that, how is it necessary? But I just now saw other chapters, like the one that mention smell in its title, and the story talked about the smell part more substantially, so I agree that this tag is specific enough. The problem now I think is that the tagging is too charitable.
