the early, pre-anime drama cd’s had a lot of nicomaki, albeit a different dynamic. from what i understand, early maki’s personality was a lot more vain and pompous, and she and nico got into a lot of arguments over who was….hotter?? apparently there was even a cd where they started fighting, and maki was like “ah, no…don’t touch there”, which was referenced in the doujin 365.
I think the reason Maki tends to get turned on more in NicoMaki doujins is not that Nico's so sexy (obviously) or that Maki's a lolicon (as Rin suggested in one doujin) but simplly that Nico hasn't matured yet, even though she's two years older. Nico has severe arrested development in every way, and she might as well start lying about her age now.
