Was the cheating tag necessary, I don’t see her being unfaithful or anything, they seem more like just childhood friends keeping in touch and her hoping to become something else but no dating or whatsoever.
Was it somewhat arousing? Yes.
Did the plot have to be this way? No.
Kenji and Wakana's relationship just seemed to be like close friends than anything resembling lovers and shit.
