The title is a pun, because: She=shi, Know=no, Be=bi. They are being "shinobi" a.k.a. "ninja," and sneaking (and enduring).
I wonder if it's also a reference to an old song by the same name. It was playing in my head the whole time I was reading.
I used to ship them a lot before Mihoko was introduced. I love this but Mihoko x Hisa is the superior ship hahaha.
