frederica without shiki makes me sad, but I gotta say that Hamada is one of the best artists out there and never fails to amaze me

that's how I interpret it, but then again I am almost offensively optimistic at times.

Well, all of Hamada's comics have Shiki and Frederica together, before and after these ones (and originally these two weren't like, a series? They're just in the same folder) so I think it's a safe bet!
