Indeed, man it's always to get beaten or killed, or just threatened, but woman? One way or another it almost always end up in rape, though sometimes it is to kill, or to rape and kill, or kill and then rape, at least when the stalker is a guy.
It's not that bad here. XD There are some neighborhoods where you can sleep on a park bench and wake up without having gotten mugged, raped or worse. However, there are also some neighborhoods you shouldn't even consider setting foot in unless you know what you're doing and can defend yourself against 2 or more people at once. Berlin is a bit extreme in that regard. It really is a black and white city. :/ But like I said, I like to be prepared, so when I'm walking around in places I don't know like the back of my hand, I'm usually armed. As for Lin, she doesn't walk at night anyway. XD She drives a lot. The world is a lot safer in a car. XD And like I said: when she knows she's about to do something dangerous, she asks either me or her brother for backup before.
I think you can say nowadays everywhere is kind of black and white, I have the impression that most places the contrast between safe and dengerous neighborhoods got bigger, I mean, it's not that in the past it had more safe areas, more like the criminals just got more violent, but I guess it depends a lot on where you live, and here on Brazil the world is not more safer in a car, actually depending on the area it's more dangerous, you have to stop your car you can already have someone demanding you to get out and maybe shooting you in the face, or shooting you in the face and taking your corpse out of the car, or if you're lucky, just express kidnapping where they take you to an ATM to take all of your money they can, though if you're a woman they might molest you too, and they might shoot you in the face to finish.
as for Lin, I can imagine how she must be paranoic about her name or pictures, especially if she's particularly pretty
o.o... coughprettyisanunderstatementcough I wouldn't say she's paranoid about it, just reasonably careful. Like I said: she's been there. I don't think any sane person would like a repeat of what she went through, even if it was just for a few weeks. :T
Oh yeah, the person needs to be really dumb to go through the same again, and even creepy stalker aside, with the kind of people she deals with she don't really have a choice, also, nothing wrong from jumping from reasonably careful to paranoic, a little paranoia is good.

Well, if you can't find one you can take a picure another time, cause now I want to see it, I like knifes, guns and so on, if I had the money I would probably be full of guns and fortify my house, in part just in case a zombie apocalypse happened Yeah I'm not very sane 8D, if I had one to have with me it would probably be a knuckle knife since I could also punch people with it instead of just using the blade, as for gun, maybe a Beretta, or probably any 9mm gun with a 30 bullets magazine, firepower is overrated and low caliber makes it more obvious that it's for self defense, easier to explain to the law, is it just me or this weapon talk is making me sound kind of crazy or at least a little psychotic? xD

The shape of the blade is pretty much the same as mine, only that the top edge of my knife is smooth and blunt instead of serrated. Also, the hilt is covered in black, rough rubber to increase grip.
Well hello there other pretty, why not a serrated one? That could be useful someday, and like I said above, hope you can take a pic of yours another time, though I can probably kind of imagine how it is.

Haha, I took some time replying everything, ended up being a big post, hope I didn't forget anything, but if your picture could make us blind, than mine would make everyone head explode like that guy from Scanners, I was going to post a gif of it, but didn't find a good one.
