Hi there, nagihoko here, the translator of Oddity Translations. As some of you may be aware, our fan translation of the manga I'll Become a Gal Who's Kind to Otaku by sugar. was noticed by the author herself. After speaking with me, she began releasing our fan translation on her own Twitter page. She realized that there are many English speaking manga fans who would otherwise never be able to read her work except through these unofficial fan translations and her priority is for as many people to enjoy the work and the culture as possible.

While this is already very cool and a great favor to the English speaking yuri reading community, she recently took the even cooler step giving the English translation quasi-official status and has begun selling it. I would like to extend my gratitude to sugar. for being okay with our fan translation of her work and would also like to encourage all of you to check out the manga. The entire 4 volume translated series is available with a single 500JPY subscription to the author's Fanbox. You can subscribe, download the series, and then immediately cancel if you would like to think of it as a single purchase rather than a subscription. While it's too late to do some kind of Love Bullet style saving of the series from cancellation, this is a great way to support a small yuri mangaka, show the value of unofficial translations in spreading awareness and building a fanbase, and demonstrate the demand for English translations of less popular manga.

Series description: In middle school, friendless otaku Arimoto Airi had a revelation after reading (legally distinct) Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku: if she turned herself into a gal, wouldn't she be able to make a ton of friends?

Now in high school, her plan is about to come to fruition.
