Gengar how many eps are you going through a day? You are blasting through it haha.

Yeah, I'm watching way too much PLL. Let's not talk concrete numbers, I'm embarrassed about that.

Yeah all those people who deny Emison solely because they believe Alison isn't gay really make my blood boil.

Read another post about Alison being straight today saying that Alison is too popular, pretty and girly to be gay. I really thought society moved beyond that stereotype-

I bet if Emison does happen, those same people are going to pin Alison as gay. Like what the hell are bisexuals?

Which is really weird, considering Maya.

Alright, I stumbled upon an author called Erik Schubach and I highly recommend his stuff.

So far I've read two of his short stories Accidental Date (15-ish pages) and Wallflower (30-ish pages). I've read one of his longer ones Water Gypsy (first in the London Harmony Series, 300-ish pages) and am halfway through the second in the series Feel the Beat (also 300-ish pages)

I very highly recommend his shorts and the other two, in Water Gypsy there was not a shred of drama in it. The same could be said for Feel the Beat so far. He has 2 or 3 books in the Music of The Soul Series that are connected with the London Harmony one. June is about one of the women you see briefly in the London series and Music of The Soul is about her mother.

They are very sweet and cute books.

I think he's the one that did the Red Hood and Snow stories. Red Hood is an immortal werewolf hunter, and Snow (white) is a girl who can talk to forest animals and works as a recovery specialist. Both are in the same setting. They are pretty good for an adventure, the romance is ok.

Yeah, less than a week or so he published the Ella story as well, and supposedly there's going to be one final one after this one. (They are yuri as well, so you may want to add them as well Gengar)

I just finished Feel the Beat, and I really can't recommend this series enough along with the Music of the Soul ones. They're just so damn fluffy!

I saw those, but they didnt sound good, but if you recommend them I'll give them a shot. I'm almost out of yuri novels anyway lol.

He also did the valkyrie chronicles, which sounds like it might be interesting.

They do, but too action-y for me perhaps. Why didn't they sound good?

Go for it :] He said he's gonna publish another one in the London Harmony series by the end of August about Fran (Small Fry, or Vanessa's little sister) so there's that to look forward to.

That's some really prolific writer you have there, even for romance.

Yeah, though it seems not everyone likes it because it's too cheesy and 'too good people' stuff and unrealistic. So far it's all fluff, then again I've only read 4, two of which are short. Don't know why they're going for realistic when the same people read fantasy but whatever.

He's self-published on Kindle by the looks of it, and in need of a proof-reader.

Romance.

I'm not really a reader of fantasy, but I think they mean "believable" when they say "realistic". I don't think it's a matter of being exactly like reality, but of being coherent. A fantasy work can be internally coherent and consistent, that'd make it "realistic" (believable). I, for one, can't read a book if it's poorly writen or if its characters doesn't convince me.

Dishing out so many books so quickly must also be of no benefit.

A lot of the ones I read are unrealistic though, in the believable sense, and they praise them. Maybe my perception is different. Oh well.

Which book?

Red Hood and Snow so far. But I think yuri written by women is generally better.

A lot of the time yes, but a lot of the times no. It all depends on the writing style really. For instance, I like Schubach's not that drawn out scenes, where if it was a woman it probably would be 100 pages more, because of descriptions which don't really serve to add to the story.

Tell me your impressions on those two when you finish them. I'm debating whether or not to read them.

That's probably true. I, for one, can't remember reading a good fantasy book.

Writing style being a matter of taste too. And even then, it's possible to find some books that are so well-crafted that it doesn't matter it's in a style you don't usually like.

Perhaps, but then again I haven't encountered such a thing.

Oh, I don't know if fanfics can apply for here but https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3973687/1/Crazy-Little-Things

This is a godly Hermione x Luna fic. It takes place when they are in college, not an AU, after the books. Hermione is with Ron but there aren't a lot of scenes with them. It's mostly with the two and it's from Hermione's POV. It's a really tender and sweet story and it's very well written.

So when does the yuri in Glee start? Don't judge me.

Season 2, but seriously man, don't do this to yourself. Pick a pairing and read AU fics instead. There's an incredible amount of talent in the fandom for such a shitty show.
Believe me when I say it's not worth it. The lesbian couple is treated like shit by the writing and if you find yourself shipping the two main girls together (the classic outcast vs. cheerleader dynamic), you're in for entire seasons' worth of asshole male love interests and badly written love triangles.

But what am I supposed to watch instead? :/

I just saw that Britana (that the name?) was a pretty popular ship in general so I didn't think they were treated like shit. That kinda sucks. You got like, any examples?
I just came out of Pretty Little Liars so I'm pretty resistant to badly written love triangles right now. If I ever watch Glee, it should be now I guess.
