@Galich: I think digital collections can have bragging rights, too. I have quite a lot of CDs/records, but some of my most treasured albums only ever existed as digital files, and they still take pride of place in my heart, even if they don't take any place on my shelf. :p

I don't mind subtext, and Rina is all for it as well.

Nowadays the only reason I watch anime is for the yuri subtext lol, I can always just write fanfics to satisfy any other elements that I want to see.

Well, coming back to to the bragging rights: well, sure, you can impress people with a huge e collection of music etc., but there's nothing better than having an entire bunch of books collecting dust at a shelf.

I remember that my friend had around 1000 vinyls at home, it was really really impressive.

I don't think figures are a waste of money at all... I mean, if you don't want them anymore, you can always sell them again. It's not like you've wasted it on booze or anything irretrievable like that...
