Can someone give some context for those who live in areas of the world where they aren't likely to know ANYTHING about LGTB topics without specifically seaching for such things? (I'm assuming it pertains to LGBT due to the rainbow flag and the fact that it's obviously lesbian-themed, given the nature of this site and the depicted pairing.)

^ These 2 are a pretty popular yuri pairing from vocaloid - and tho it is not related to it directly - since it was posted here not long after Australia passed same sex marriage into law (and it seems to be a lesbian pride / power, kinda image) the topic became about that.
And people are wishing it would come to their countries too. Going by their name, (gweanakjakarta) They are from Indonesia - which is just above Australia - and fpi stands for 'Front Pembela Islam' (Islamic Defenders Front- far right religious/political group?) I can imagine if they have much power in a country you are NOT gonna get gay marriage rights.
P.s I know almost nothing about the region so this info might be a bit off.
I'm glad I live somewhere it already IS law.

to elaborate what @elevown just said, yes, me (and possibly others who replied my comment above) are Indonesian, and FPI is a far right (IMO, borderline extremist) islamic civilian organisation, emphasis on "civilian organisation" because realistically, they are NOT political group/party, but by combining the power of democracy (power of people) and religion, they are a force to be reckoned with in Indonesia's political region. They are often used by right wing parties and basically any opposition parties by "herding" people's opinions by using religion and "for the good of the people" BS. But let's be real, the only "good" all (corrupt) politicians thinking are their own interests. But they're works, the newest and prime example was the Jakarta's previous governor case last year (he jabs his political rivals who use religion to gain people's interest, religious people got offended, political rivals saw that as an opening, FPI came in, non stop demonstrations all the way until governor election (even when he was being trialed (yes, he was trialed for that jab)), and 58% Jakartans elected a much, much more shitty governor over him, and he also got sentenced for 2 years prison time)
But enough about them, like I said before, I think the problem goes deeper than those "slightly tamer than Al Qaeda" idiots, it's the people's belief and the nation's ideology. Too many Indonesians are taking their beliefs (and superstitions) too seriously, so unless the country and the people go a bit more (if not entirely) secular, LGBT rights are pipe dream for Indonesians

Wow I seriously didn't expect to walk in on this kind of conversation...
I'm not sure what to say... I like Miku and Luka? Together. As gal pals.
Seriously though this is a problem way beyond the scope of here and now. I think you guys are basically good people all the same.

Wow, learn something new from dynasty reader... I discovered Magnet pretty late, but from all the comments, I got the sense that when the song first came out, it received a lot of homophobic comments, but now people are getting more and more accepting and we get comments like I LOVE NEGITORO SHIP! So I believe we'll get there, one country at a time. #love wins
