Don't know a lot about the series, but this is pretty damn nice.

^It's a heavily fan-servicey series about WWII. The twist is that instead of Nazis, the Aliens are invading and the only hope for humanity is for the military to recruit young witches to fight on the front lines using leg-mounted jetpacks and heavy weaponry.
As for these two: Erica is the childish, carefree combat-genius older sister, while Ursula is the responsible tech-genius who heads up R&D. They are loosely based on the WWII German ace pilot Eric Hartman and his wife Ursula.

Yey, the Hartmann twins~ Interestingly, like the other aces in the show, Erica Hartmann is based (in name, and partly in personality as well) on a real WWII pilot, non other than Erich Hartmann, the most successful ace in the entire history of aerial combat, nicknamed as the Black Devil by the Soviets (he shot down ~350 Soviet planes). However, what makes this interesting is the fact that in the show Erica's sister is named after Ursula Hartmann, Erich's wife.
Edit: Damn it! Sniped while I was typing. One day I will have to learn how to type with more than two fingers...
