You know, for all that the protagonist randomly sleeps in people's beds throughout the game, it only describes Lillie's bed as being hers in particular.

What I meant was that whenever you go sleep in someone's bed, the text just describes what their bed smells like. But when you sleep in lillie's bed, the game specifically mentions that it's hers, which implies (to me, at least) that Lillie is more important to the protagonist compared to the others. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I never played a pokemon game - and I guess I wont anytime soon since I have no 3ds.. How come they never make these for the main consoles like the wii / u / switch?

The version only determines what kind of Pokemon you get from areas. Some Pokemon are exclusive to Sun, some are exclusive to Moon and some Pokemon are common to both. You can still play as male or female in both versions.
Pokemon has always been in the handheld, probably due to the fact that it's much accessible that way, especially since some Pokemon only appears at certain times of the day.

They are probably releasing a Pokémon game for the Switch, as it is a hybrid console and there are strong rumors already about Gamefreak making a new Alola game for it.

@PsychoNeko Yes, it's just a rumor. It's not confirmed, but the people behind it got many things right about the Switch and a Pokémon game will eventually be released on it. But I agree, we'll have to wait to see if it's true.
