BA community is degenerate af, but that's what make them funny to watch from afar, the same way as seeing wild animals doing wild animal stuffs in conservation parks :)) Couldn't find it in me to actually participate, though. The fanarts are rather good and very abundant, which is nice.
As for the game itself, the main story is okay, the new event stories are hit or miss, but over all it has no significant thing to discover for late stage players, only new combinations to marginally improve scores on recycled raid bosses and more grinding to get those combinations. I play casually on three accounts, an okay way to turn half of my brain off for 1 hour each day after work.

I'm watching with some worries how being a lolicon went from very "niche" and treated as comedy to people being actually "proud" of it and demanding more. ^Those communities are taking full advantage of the characters being fictional so that it's fine to talk about them as crazy and degenerate as one likes, because that doesn't actually hurt real people. It does look worrying, but as long as they don't act those fantasy out on real people, by principle of free speech, I believe it's fine to let them be (that one girl who cosplayed Momoi and acted out the "racist Momoi" meme was going too far, for example).
I understand that it's uncomfortable to read such degenerate talks in fandom forums, but the internet is now very wide and large, one can always form clean spaces with only like-minded people that like the same content but don't want to act like weirdos, there's no more need for monolithic fandoms on the internet like when it was small and niche in the 1990s and 2000s. Just steer clear of weirdos and ban them from your bubble.
(Casual on 3 accounts sounds worse than it is, but it's actually mostly just tapping around to finish daily tasks to accumulate free points for gacha rolls. The level accumulate naturally and then dealing with lower levels raid bosses doesn't require much effort, as opposed to the competitive players that have each skill release timed down to 0.1 second accuracy, count the crit hits and repeatedly restart the raid to get marginally better crit count or for the randomly repositioning characters to be in desired place, aka malding. 3 accounts is for getting more characters, to see their character stories and interactions, free gacha can only get you so far with one account)

^^^Oh I fully agree with "as long as it's fictional" take, I just find it wild how people are seem to deny that attraction to children even if fictional still makes you paedophile. I mean if a guy told you he fantasies about having sex with fictional man, with details of what he wish he could do and be done to him, You wouldn't go "oh he is not gay, bacause it's fictional man". Yet when you have adult person graphically describe what he would do with this character that looks like 8 years old some people deny it's makes them paedphile.
Like I agree with all "it's fictional", ""it help vent out" etc. But attraction is still attraction and I'm not gonna encourage or comfort that stuff.
^^It may be overblown, yet there is a reason why BA artworks are mostly encountered in sites that allow "certain" content.

Oh, we're despoiling the serenity of the gay picture book club again to complain about people that thankfully aren't even here? Me too, me too!
First of all, you shouldn't lump together the (likely millions) of BA players. Assuming a singular, unified "community" with perfect consensus is almost always wrong. I personally learned about BA from the Soundtrack to the Undertale Crossover AU (YT | INV) and I hardly doubt those people were in it for the cute & funny aspects. If you start generalizing like that, then "LycoReco staff got harassed by yuritards" is a valid counterclaim.
Second: Blue Archive maintains a "Mature" (i.e. lewd, because sex-crazedness is the premier thing to associate with maturity, apparently) version and a "Teen"-rated version for distribution in countries and on platforms that don't tolerate sexual content. That should tell you about the games approach to portraying its all-female rooster with the core premise of all being school-age. Nexon knows what they're doing.
Now the morality of profiting off virtual "erotica" (borderline porn) featuring children is ... a fickle topic (under constant threat of hypocrisy for some people here, too), but it's ultimately orthogonal to the Crucial Issue, the sociocide these companies knowingly further. As with the related manosphere/incel/whatever scene, the product being sold is contributing to radicalizing males into an accelerating death spiral of para- and eventual anti-sociality. There is a reason parts of the BA fandom became as they are, and instead of steering against (which is absolutely possible, see Umamusume) they're pouring gasoline into the Out of Control fire for the sake of profit.
And once you got the ant mill going, cesspit becomes self-sustaining through constant peer-reassurance earned from in-group-status affirmations (i.e. a Virtual Storm of harassment), which in turn draws a Barrier between it and the greater (smaller? same-sized?) other parts of the BA fandom. Y'know, those who they call "tourists". Someday, Sometime Nexon will have to decide which part is more important (i. e. profitable) to them.
But in the meanwhile constant bickering about that, err, Colorful Mess just alienates those BA fans with actual human decency whilst, at best, leaving the true culprits unaffected. (Likelier they'll get their kicks out of your anger, whilst your Unwelcome School of taught pushes somebody on the edge into their camp.) So perhaps just enjoy that not all BA art has stomach-turningly nauseating Vibes.
Also the Nazis didn't use the term "degeneriert" much, in fact it saw a sharp decline coinciding with the rise of the NSDAP. It's just a weird artefact of the term "entartet" (lit. "out-of-kind", or to convey the negative connotations, maybe "dis-typical") being translated into a language that's as ... english ... as the english language.
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Rant over.

Okay okay, let's not point fingers unnecessarily lest the mods/admins will have to came nuking this conversation.
As for my word use, I don't peruse enough forums to see the word "degenerate" as any more nazi than most usual words in the dictionary (not my first language either), and in this particular case it's the most fitting to describe the loudest, most visible part of the BA fandom, so I use it. Take a brief look at the comment section of many BA fanarts and fancomics, or the Steam forum, you'd see why. A large chunk of them has degeneracy cranked way up, some over the top. The way I see it, those weirdos find such absurdity funny amongst themselves and it also ward off the saner "thinner skin" that they call "tourists". They claimed most of the online space of BA communities that way, and they also pay the most, while most that demand Nexon to tone down the sexualisation of highschooler age (or younger) characters don't pay as much, eventually leave and thus stay "tourists". And Nexon, being a business, follows the money.
I myself wander between those weirdo spaces and some more sane, calm and thoughtful spaces to spice up the little time I spend bemusing myself with the BA communities. At the end of the day, it's just a game, let people be weird with fictional stuffs, can't be bothered much with them, I have work tomorrow.
It's sometimes funny how it's always the same type of people who you "can't criticize or they will become extremist" and yet other groups can be shitted on for decades, lumped together every time "one of them" do something and yet they have to "keep it civil" because they make "some people" angry. You know who I'm talking about.
And this discussion gonna get nuked anyway I will do small rant on my own: I'm so antagonistic toward BA (or more to be exact "cute and funny" part of community) because it's extremely annoying. I don't play BA, I'm not friend with anyone who play BA, I don't frequent sites that talk about BA and yet every time I watch any type of anime content that have character that can be even vaguely as "loli" they are there, spamming their shitty "meme" or demanding more, "harder stuff" of it. After TGA trailer of ZZZ I actually had do stray away from ZZZ content for a while because I got both angry and depressed seeing these people being part of the same community as me. It just make me absolutely annoyed.
OK Moderators, sorry we made a mess, but it's almost time for new batch. It will be good to clean this up.

I'm tired of the ever same "X community is nasty" type of comments under (esp. image) uploads to certain franchises. They are not related to the image and effectively only serve similar in-group membership signalling as the one you're complaining about. Just because others are worse doesn't mean you should try to be better.
(Un)related note: people who just abandon their pets are the worst.
After TGA trailer of ZZZ I actually had do stray away from ZZZ content for a while because I got both angry and depressed seeing these people being part of the same community as me. It just make me absolutely annoyed.
THEN WHY DO YOU MAKE ME AWARE OF THAT SHIT?! SO I CAN BECOME ANGRY AND DEPRESSED TOO? GEE, THANKS A LOT!
I'm here to relax, discuss yuri and preach YukaReimu supremacy. Meta-discourse about the behaviour of other people I couldn't care less for is not topical to the art, and since it brings the mood down, I find it rather disruptive. Like, if K-On! PFPs are "the online equivalent of a klan hood" (YT | INV), does that mean we must retrace the ritual lines there too?
It's not just Moedred, to be fair. It's the usual suspects, and I must admit, I definitely made the mistake of sparking or engaging with that too, so mea culpa. And yes, I am aware of the irony of venting about other people venting. Newton's third law or smth.
@coolsnail: Imo, words have meaning. Negative words have negative meaning, thus mostly used in non positive situations and/or with non positive intents. So naturally some bad people will use those words against people they don't like. So what, then we should avoid using those same words because they are now "loaded with the rhetorics of bad people", thus surrendering some words in the dictionary to them? And then what do we do when we need to talk about negative topics? Invent new words, which will eventually become widely used, then get picked up by bad people and we surrender them up again, and again, and again? Total losing strategy. Don't just give ammunition to your enemies, use it to shoot them.
Some people act in ways that I just can't agree, so I call them degenerate when applicable. Like, here are some little compilations of BA's Steam reviewsand community posts, look at that and say it's not unhinged degenerate behaviours. What else do I call it with, some weak roundabout euphemism?
Sure, there are people that find me and you and us on Dynasty to be freaky and degenerate, so what?
