yeah, it's crazy but it makes sense. Popularity obviously goes to Pearl and Marina. They're by far the fan favorites, and most people started with splat 2 bc it wasn't locked to the Wii U. then Callie and Marie win all the turf war stuff bc the people remaining that will pick them are all players that have been invested since Splat 1--nearly every Past team I fought were absolute demons on the field.
Meanwhile, Deep Cut have the least charisma (thanks in part to the lower translation quality in splat 3) and the least story development of the three groups. That means people that choose them are the ones without exposure to the other games, and since splat 2 was also a switch game, that means we've got late adopters and people that bought a switch after the start of splat 3, which trend younger and less experienced.
Thus, you get the most stark division of points we've seen in a splat fest to date. And of course, as prophecy dictates, Frye loses again.
