I've barely played Blue Archive but to me they're a canon couple

Rare pair, but a welcome one
It's definitely weird to see a Blue Archive arts without a bunch of guys in the comments saying: "oH bUt AlL oF ThEm ArE In LoVe wItH sEnSeI...i have to stop playing self insert good games or at least never interact with its community *sigh

^Sounds like you might have better luck approaching the fandom from different angles, and finding specific niches within that suit your interests. I've seen this pairing as a somewhat common ship, and one that people in my general sphere enjoy.
Here have one of my favorite BA artists that ships Koharu with Hanako and Mika, Twitter Link

^^Check Pixiv. Lots of yuri fanart there, and this pair is a pretty common one.

^^^This is anything but a rare pair (at least for BA Yuri standards). It has lots of fanarts and even some of my male friends accept these two as an item.

^^^^ I've seen comment section of BA yuri doujins (eh) being RAIDED by incel BA players (and most of them exhibits some level of homophobes), claiming yuri in BA is OOC so it's righteous to bombard everyone in favour of yuri pairings. So... yeah, better not interact with the community.

Tbh, I wanted to get into BA because there are a couple really cute foxgirls, but it was waaaay too self-insert for me.

@Aureole for better or for worse, all of my friends who are into BA are also into Yuri
@Lilisionnach I get that. My main gripe with Idolmaster is how almost all of the girls are super into the producer (and the few who aren't seem to be due to some fetish, like Tokiko and Risa), but at least it's somewhat LGBT-friendly I guess.

^ I mean, it all sucks, I don't mean that.
But like, what do you expect? For nearly all gacha style games one of the main selling points of why people even pay to draw random hot girls is that those hot girls are automatically in love and lusting after -you-, the summoner/captain/commander/sensei/admiral/trainer, and that sells really well for the infinite amount of modern lonely boys and Akuma Nihmune.
You just get disappointed if you expect too much, at least for now.

That's also the main reason why I dislike most isekai/harem series, including parody ones.

eh, I wouldn't say all of them are like that, but some definitely lean into that aspect FAR more than others. The ones that actually build relationships among the cast and not just with the player are the ones that I enjoy.
