Yes to both. I dabble in traps myself from time to time and well, I see a boy in the mirror each morning.
See, in that image in particular the proportions are closer to a couple of boys than is to a couple girls, the faces are also pretty angled somethng typically associated with male characters. Curves are virtually inexistent and paired with the stern expression of the white haired character it only furthers the impression of the characters being boys.

Always remember: You need to have the curves of a Brazilian F1 race track to be considered looking like a female. I tried to see where you're coming but I totally can't see them as boys in my head. Maybe it's the boobs.
And aren't traps supposed to look like girls?
Anyways, I really like this artist's stuff and I absolutely love their less digital looking artstyle.

I can agree with Weiss, but Ruby looks like perfect bishonen from yaoi/het. Sure, might be androgynous, but in no way she looks like a girl on first glance.

Very strange indeed. I can't look at these two without seeing girls, or at least female crossdressers who are really bad at it.. I know that dudes in manga are often drawn with feminine features, but this would be kinda pushing it.
And as OriginalGengar pointed out, isn't the whole point of "traps" is that they don't look like dudes.
I know trans women who'd kill to look that obviously feminine.
