If nothing else it's terribly out of character for Weiss to actually end up with Neptune considering how long it took her to open up to her own teammates, and comparing how long she's known them to how long she's known Neptune (which is barely any time at all really)
White Rose generally treats her character more respect, allowing time for her to open up to people she has grown comfortable with
Not random strangers she knows next to nothing about

Did anyone noticed how Ruby is willingly separating Weiss from Neptune? In the moment they went to investigate the plans of Roman & the White Fang? Where Weiss asked to go with Neptune und Ruby just laughed it off and took her with her?
