It's a shame how the creators of this show know how to make a strong start but neither how to utilise the potential nor how to write an ending.

^That's what you get for prioritizing audiovisual over writings.

Man I had such high hopes too. The visuals were absolutely amazing, it motivated me to keep drawing and animating lol. The story was interesting as well, I was hooked just from the first episode. Hope that there's a season 2 so that we can at least get a decent ending

^ I kind of learned not to have high hope in original endings of CloverWorks shows.

^ Yeah, cloverworks is known for having original endings. From now on with cloverworks anime, I'm keeping my expectations very low.
I'm doubtful we'll even have a season 2. It didn't sell well in Japan.

glad i got around to watching this despite how awful the last half was.. first 7 episodes are totally worth it, just a shame it couldn't hold up til the end :/

I always did feel like Rika and Neiru were the most interesting potential couple. For the sake of holding on to the good memories, I'll leave it at that.

Not bad, even if Neiru obviously belongs to Ai.

I never finished WEG (I don't think I even got to the point where it starts getting bad), but I'm surprised there's no Yuri of the main character.
@TctyaDDK I never liked A-1 and CloverWorks adaptations (except maybe Granblue Fantasy), so I'm not surprised their original works are bad too.

^ Tbf A1 occasionally do some good stuffs, like AnoHana or Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, and the rest are usually somewhat okay-ish.
Being offshoot of A1, CloverWorks is good at visuals, but their writting talent is questionable at best, so they did make some decent adaptations like Bunny Girl Senpai and Promised Neverland S1, but once they try to write original ending, it goes to shit almost immediately: Darling in the Franxx (handed over from A1 after Triggers pulled out), Promised Neverland S2 (holy hell), or WEP.

Yeah, I'm aware A-1 does some good-ish stuff sometimes (I liked TPN S1, though I didn't touch S2) but they also crammed 190 chapters of the Magi manga in only 52 episodes and too much was lost in that.
This reminds me, I might resttart the granblue anime from the very beginning so I can both refresh my memory and not have to worry about where I stopped in season 2.
