They're possibly turning into the All-Mother and the Storm Dragon by the looks of it. The blood is probably because the spines are growing.

For those not playing monster hunter, these two have a mental link to the thunder serpent Narwa (yellow one) and its mate/male counterpart the wind serpent Ibushi (blue one). During the game, they show themselves being possessed and telling the thought of the monster ("My king, My king, where are you?")
So... yeah. Possessed twincest. Thought, it look quite painful.
I like the art thought. It's quite well done.
